I have and it is so painful I broke my arm it hurted a lot. I never want to break any bones in my body for as long as I live. Still when I had my cast I did let people sign it because it would be a fun idea. Still have you ever broken a bone in your body?

Yes. I have had a broken wrist. It was not a lot of fun. It is quite a story. I was ten years old. One of my brothers got the bright idea to tie a rope to a tree branch. It was high enough that once the rope was attached, you had to get on the top rung of a ladder to reach it. The idea was to grab the rope, push off, and swing out as far as you could. I had watched three of my siblings accomplish this feat numerous times and finally got enough courage to climb the ladder. Once I got to the top of this six foot ladder, the chicken in me came back to life, and I could not bring myself to swing on that rope. My brother got on the ladder with me. His intention was to show me, yet once again, just how easy and fun this was. When he pushed off, the ladder shook, me and the ladder both fell over and hit the ground. I came down full force with my hand out to brace me. Of course, this put all my weight on my poor little wrist, and it snapped. I did not immediately realize the wrist was broken. My hand and arm were numb for quite some time. I felt a little queasy, but was in no pain. We had told mom what happened, so she was constantly checking on me. She would express concern to my dad, who quite naturally assumed that I was alright. I guess it was about an hour after my tango with ladder that my arm began to take on an unnatural shape. It was forming into a horse shoe. A little while later, the feeling came back and it did begin to hurt. My mom and oldest sister took me to the ER. This was less fun than breaking my wrist had been. We sat there for a long, long time. My mother was getting more anxious by the second, and my arm was really grotesque looking by this time. People were staring and it was making me uncomfortable. My saintly mother lost her cool with one lady because she kept staring and making faces. When they finally got me into xray and the examing room, we had to wait for another couple of hours. There was some delay with the doctor that was on call getting to the hospital. (Never made sense to me why an ER would not have a doctor already there). This doctor was old and grumpy. After he asked me a dozen times how I had broken my wrist, he finally got around to giving me a shot to deaden my arm. He got the needle stuck in my arm pit, so he had to reload the needle and give me more medicine. He asked another dozen times how I broke my wrist. He was really getting on my nerves! He got the needle out, and pulled hard as he could to snap my bone back into place. It hurt! He got the cast on it. I was ready to go home. I hopped off the table, walked out of the ER, and took about three steps down the sidewalk when my little legs just went limp. I broke my wrist at about 4:00 P.M. We got to the ER around 6:30P.M. We got back home at 3:30 A.M. My father was waiting. In his hand, he had a black permanent marker. My cast went from just above my palm clear up to my shoulder. My father wrote "I told you to stay out of trees" as big as he could down the entire length of my cast. I had to wear this cast for 8 weeks. It was miserable. I had asked mom why that doctor kept asking me what happened. She said he was making sure that it was an accident. He had to be certain that I was not a victim of child abuse. Two weeks later,I had to go back to the ER. I got stung by a wasp. It stung me on the corner of my top lip. I swelled up from my lips to just under my eyes. I walk in the door with a cast up to my elbow, and my face all swollen up. The staff just knew that someone had to be beating the heck out of me. LOL I was quite a sight, I am sure. It was not much fun getting all those shots. They didnt get any stuck in me. Thank goodness. I had to have so many that both my arms and both thighs were sore. They were getting ready to start putting them in my rump. Every shot made me have to go pee. I would just have to look at my face everytime. Everytime, I would cry. It was scary at ten years old to think that my face might be like that forever. Thank goodness, to this day, I have not broken any other bones.

That sounds really painful and would never ever consider trying that again if I were you. Still almost everyone when they are small does something to break their bones. Sometimes you can't remember the pain when you are small and if you break a bone like right now you would remember the pain for more days to come.

No I haven't. My plan is to never break a bone. Seriously, I've had lots of sprains and strains and surgery and aches and pains all over, but fortunately I have been blessed that my body has never suffered a broken bone.

I hope that you keep it that way too because you do not want to go through that. You are also one of the lucky ones.

Yep - three at once actually. I was in the fifth grade and it was my best friend's birthday. We were jumping on her brand new trampoline and I guess I landed wrong. I didn't notice anything and just kept on jumping and having fun (I have a high pain tolerance). When I got down on the ground I just collapsed and couldnt get back up. My friend's brother helped me and I remember being more shocked about that than the fact that I couldn't walk. Ahh, the innocent naive years.

You collapsed that must have been horrible for you and a painful experience and scary when you finally got off the trampoline.

Your lucky and hopefully you never will experience breaking a bone in your body for the rest of your life because it's not a very fun thing to go through it really is painful. Always best to be careful.
