What kind of camera do you own?

We have a digital camera now.
It is the kind that shows the picture through the lens so you see what you are really going to photograph.
It joins onto the computer with a cable and the pictures can be sent to the printer.
I love it because there is no waste of money or materials if we take a few rubbish pictures.
We used to have an ordinary 35 mm camera that took film but although it was a very nice camera, it was expensive to keep having the pictures developed.
My husband has a camera on his telephone too ,it isn't as nice as the proper camera but handy if you want to remember where you left the car in a big car park and little things like that.
What sort of camera do you own?

We have 3 digital cameras. I bought mine 4 years ago, then I bought my older daughter one for Christmas last year, and then my younger daughter got one on her 13th birthday last summer. They are all Canon cameras, however I like theirs better than mine.

My daughter has had 3 I think but she is very heavy handed with technology .
The last one was vivitar and ha a big screen on the back and quite a decent sized resolution but she stuffs everything i her bag and things get scratched or even wet.
So now she just has the one on her phone.
I had one before but the battery leaked inside it and it doesn't hold the charge properly anymore so we bought this one to share

I own a samsung digital camera and I'm so pleased with it. There's no more taking picture cartriges to a chemist to have the photos developed. This is actually the first digital camera I've ever had so I'm a bit behind in keeping up with the latest technology. I think things have become that much easier now with the development of digital cameras. The good thing about the camera is the fact that it is able to take movie footage as well and this is invaluable I think. I'm hoping that it lasts for a long time now anyhow. Andrew

I think ours can do movie footage but I cant be bothered to try it :) I am not that interested in being in video clips and noone wants to 'perform' for them.
I like the idea of filming little bits of holiday maybe but we don't go very often.
I definitely agree that the cartridge to the chemist thing was a pain.
I used to do the black and white ones at home in the cupboard(it was small but empty LOL) with a little hand drum thing. The chemicals are a bit smelly though.
We recently sold a lot of darkroom stuff that belonged to my late father in law, it was all very expensive stuff and he had only used it for his hobby and then left it for years and years in boxes.

Digital single lens reflex?
I think ours is that ,where you have the lens reflecting up into the viewfinder.
It has a screen too which is very nice.
My old exacta non digital camera could have a special viewer on the top so that you could look down into it and see the picture more clearly.

I am wanting to buy the nicer cameras but do not have enough money to do so. But right now I only have my handy pentax camera that my best friend gave me as a gift. I love it even if it is not super nice as what others have. To me, for as long as I get to take my son's pictures at his lovely moments of happiness or sadness then that is fine with me.

It doesn't really matter does it? Your camera does what you want it to do and so it is adequate.
My dad used to have one of those cameras where you pull the picture out and wait till it develops. The pictures are the only ones we have of our childhood but they are just as good as any others would have been.It is the memories that are the important part.

I own a 12-Megapixel digital camera. It's a very handy tool for me. Wherever I go, I will bring it with me, and take plenty of shots on landscapes, buildings, etc. When I have the time at home, I will connect the camera directly to my photo printer and print out the pictures I want. I will also upload a few nice pictures to share with friends.

Our printer can do photos too.
They are just like an ordinary photo to look at.
Ink is costly though.
We only print or very favourite pictures.

I own a NiKon D60 SLR 10.1-10.2 mega pixel lens. I like it because I can change the lens on the camera for different shots. It is a nice SLR and well worth the money to get the 55mm to 200mm lens with it. It comes with a 18-55mm so yeah differently get the bigger lens. It is an awesome camera the D90 is better though. But way more expensive. The Nikon non-slr cameras are also really nice and are almost as good as a SLR.

Sounds like a good camera.
Ours wont let us change the lenses ,they usually are the more expensive cameras here.
I don't think we need that ourselves though ,we are just amateur photographers.
My husband had some quite nice non digital cameras in the past but this is the best digital camera we have had.

Hi, pandaeyes. Yes, I have a camera and it is on my cell phone. I just bought this phone a week ago. So, I have got to get used to using my camera on my cell phone. I have an 35mm camera too. But it is a one use camera. The date has expired on it. I would like to have another camera very soon. I would like an Sony camera, if possible.

You most likely could still use your single use camera.
They just have a roll of film inside after all but be careful not to touch the battery as it can give you a shock.
I like the idea of cameras on phones but I like my phone and it doesn't have a camera, I would rather keep the phone than sacrifice it for a newer one.

Hi, photography is not my hobby. But, I have one digital camera, it is Nikon, at home. I only bring it when out of town for picnic or for special events. My cellphone is equipped with camera, too. If needed whenever, I can still use camera in my cellphone which always be with me.
You have a nice day.
Best wishes,

I have cameras, a bit too many actually :-) I have a 6 year old Canon Ixus that I use when I just want to put a camera in my pocket and not take serious pictures, just for fun. I have a Canon 30D that I use, I really want to upgrade to a 50D or a 7D. I also have a broken Canon EOS 10D that I plan to fix and maybe sell. I also have three film SLRs and a lot of compact film cameras that I never use, including a very old one from my grandmother.

My husband has his mums old camera .
It is about 60 years old I think,it all fits into a leather case thing with lenses and filters.
Was very very expensive when it was new but I don't remember ever seeing her use it.
I used to have an exacta SLR that my father owned, it was an easy to use 35 mm but the lenses were hard to find for it.

That sounds like an expensive camera.
Canon have a good reputation.
Some of the professional cameras are hugely expensive but you cant help rather wishing you could try one out just to see how they perform.

Hello! I owned a canon camera Digital IXUS 80 IS where it is a digital camera it has a smooth sculpted curves and it is color brown it has a 8 megapixels resolution with a 3 times optical zoom with Image Stabilizer, it is very handy and portable because of that I have some pictures that have a good quality.

Thanks yes Canon make some very nice cameras.
Image stabilizing is becoming more everyday on digital cameras now which is nice.
Optical zoom is much better than digital too because digital is really just using interpolation.
