Will the hours add up?

Knowing that there is only 24 hours in a day, and if you think about all the things you do all day (including myLot), and you broke it down and allotted specific times for each,, would the hours add up?
Today’s world has become so busy, and there are a lot of things expected from us. I know we multitask to get things done, but really where do you find time for yourself?
Me, I take my hours from my sleeping allotted hours. Before I sleep, I take an hour or two just to watch TV, be in the computer, or just read a book. I may only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night, but I just diet-coke (or sometimes, coffee) myself through the sleepy times in the day.
How about you? Do your hours add up? Where do you get your time?

I'm not really a busy person, my day job just requires me to be in the office for 9 hours a day, nothing more and nothing less. So After 6pm I basically have nothing else to do but have dinner, watch some television and do some online work.. So I have plenty of time for myself, and I have plenty of time to sleep. hehehe. Weekends is busier for me though, cause I have to do laundry, I go out with my boyfriend, sometimes I stay in his place, and I have to go home to my parent's house to visit them. So during weekends I seldom have time for myself and for my online gigs..

You're right about that. That's why I'm still enjoying my life as a single girl... I have plans of settling down in 2years so might as well enjoy it while I can..

I suppose you mean, do we ever have time for ourselves? Well I have too much time to do utterly nothing. I hurry through cleaning and then sit and watch t.v., getting up to get something to eat for myself, my husband or for GG. Other then that, I just sit. I kind of get tired of it, so I've started to read and write, but even so I feel like I accomplish nothing sometimes.

I can't get another job now that I live somewhere else. I live where I work now, so we really can't leave unless it's a necessity or we call someone first.

I don’t compromise on my sleep time…those 5 hrs of rest are compulsory for me to go thru the next day of housework, cooking, childcare and office. I have very little me time and I know it, though cant really help it. Right now my son’s exams are over so I have a lot of me time…enjoying every bit of it, reading books, watching TV, playing games on computer or just sitting idly and contemplating life LOL but on a regular basis, my only me-time maybe dinner time when I take my dinner to another room and watch some TV while I eat. Other than that, before going to bed, I take a little care of my skin and hair…that’s all.

Hey bounce! I don't have any set schedule so my time on mylot
does vary day to day! I try to spend at least a few hours here
each night! Some days I can spend more time than others! It
depends on what I am doing and how I am feeling! I usually try
to spend a few hours from the early evening until whatever time
I decide to start watching tv! Like tonight I got on kind of
late because I went out to some errands before we get the snow
storm that we are expecting and then my girlfriend came over
after we went grocery shopping and we were just hanging out
talking! I will probably stay on here another two hours and then
off to the soap channel to watch my favorite soap General Hospital
that I missed because I was out shopping!lol Might have lots of
time to be here tomorrow because we are expecting a major blizzard
here in NY! See ya then!

Hello, Bounce. I take time from the night as well, as I can manage on about 5 hours sleep. I'm a late night person anyway, and it's the quietest time, so it's ideal for concentrating on writing articles or posting on here. I usually get up an hour or so before my husband, so I grab another spell there as well. Like the night time, it's nice and quiet, with no danger of the phone ringing or anyone coming to the door.

I take minutes from every kind of chore I do to be here resulting in rushing through those chores and sometimes doing half baked jobs and sometime putting them off for the next day. I must do something to discipline myself in this regard as myLot tends to take precedence over every other activity. Too bad

I don't even wanna think about this. I probably commute throughout my city for 1 1/2 - 2 hours per day. Thinking in terms of a week, this is up to 14 hours of driving. That means I could be halfway to California on a roadtrip by then. Ha. I generally don't have ALL that much time to waste, though, so I try to give myself flexibility with the few hours of day that I don't have anything going on. If that makes sense. Anyway. This was a pointless response. But I have to say, I definitely Rockstar (or coffee) my way through my sleep-deprived days too! How I wish they made something stronger than coffee!

Good thing you added that qualifier in the end. I would have had a few suggestions. Not that I personal experience with them or anything.
14 hours a week just commuting? Just imagine doing something else with those hours. And getting paid for it. Sometimes it's such a waste of time.
No, not really pointless. And thanks for dropping by.

I have 24 hours in a day just like everyone else. It is all me time. I eat, sleep, play mylot, even go to work on me time. I multi-task, but in the end, there is still only 24 hours.
It is not the time we have, it is how we use it.
Cheers.

Well... you caught me! I'm a night owl myself :) Every once in awhile I cross my fingers and wish and wish and wish that not only my daughter will go to sleep without a fight... but so will my husband. lol That way, I can go to the other side of the house and get on MyLot or I go to that singsnap website to sing... or flip to a magazine while mindlessly listen to some random tv show.
I do take quite a bit of time for myself... but its all little time slots... so its more like... taking time to brush my teeth - or grab a drink before the dryer buzzer goes off.
Coffee is always my friend (as well as diet coke! We're like freaking TWINS! haha) -
Oh... but on the weekends, my "me time" for myLot or singsnap or whatever is in the mornings. I tend to get up around 8 or so, while Jos and TJ sleep till 10.... 11... etc.
I'm worn out a lot. And I mean a lot. But I don't really think its b/c I try and do too much... I honestly think its been b/c I do too little. I'm so sick of being stuck inside the house with the coldness and everything so I'm just in a "blah" stage for the last month or so. I'd so love if I could pop the windows open, blast my stereo and deep clean my house... or, go run around in the sprinkler... but I have awhile to wait for that.
Ok... now I'm babbling about whatever.
No - I don't think my hours would add up. When I multitask, I multitask hardcore. It would probably take me 3 days to do one "normal day" (not a blah winter day) if I had to do everything one at a time. I like it being a little more hectic. It helps keep you motivated :)

... but on the weekends, my "me time"...
I find myself doing this a lot lately. I would also wake up early in the morning on weekends, that just means around 7 or 8, because everybody likes to sleep in and wake up at 10-11. I take a quick shower, and then tip toe myself out the room, or sometimes out of the house. I don't have any particular thing to do, I just open the TV and mindlessly listen to it too. Or read a book, or just do some myLot. This last weekend, I cooked myself some unhealthy-greasy breakfast, and devoured it all up before everybody woke up.
I know, I should be shot!

My time for myself is in the morning. You see, I fall asleep easily at night. But I still set my alarm to make sure that I'll wake up early and get to accomplish a lot of things, to make my mind busy. In the morning, I eat breakfast in between DVD marathons, Internet or while reading a novel. After a few hours of this luxurious time (of reading/watching DVD), I try to cram my daily exercise before taking a bath and rushing to work. I try not to have an idle time, or specifically, idle mind. With these activities, sometimes I feel that the 24 hours is not enough for me. :-)

My computer life would add up quite quickly! I am always on the computer! All hours! I would not want to learn exactly how many hours I spend on the computer each day and night! It would be a very large number! I also get TV watching in to some how! My time will come in the night to!
