My twins don't get mad but they do make a terrible mess. They don't throw food unless it's at each other, but then again my son is usually stealing my daughters food so that usually chills him out from throwing it. He's a heffer, he likes to eat everything

my daughter does this also, but only if she doesn't like the food or is done. Some babies just aren't ready to eat finger food until later. It could be that he's not hungry or would rather just have a bottle. When he throws the food, just tell him No in a firm voice (not yelling) and get him down and try again later. The best time for you to try and feed him is in the morning before a bottle when he's hungry. If he still gets mad then most likely he is just not ready to try to feed himself. Does he also do this when you try to feed him his food? Mine used to get mad when I tried to feed her, she wanted to feed herself. When I tried to give her a bite, she'd throw a fit and food went everywhere!!!!

yes, kids behave that way. Check for their stomach aches if they do so.

Our brains need a lot of cold pressed Omega3 to make us feel happy, for some reason boys need three times more than girls. Also cold pressed vegetable oils have a positive effect on our behaviour. Please check http://www.gnld.com - the food supplements can be given to children in small amounts. Write to me if you have some questions, I hope you find a solution. You could get more strength from the food supplements too.

Yes. All babies have a taste for doing this kind of a thing. My neihgbour's kid does this all the time and he is a smart kid so he comes out of the house and throws it in different directions. He usually lands it somehwere around my door but its okay. I like the kid he is fun to play with.

all children do this at one time or another. Sometimes they aren't hungry at the time you are trying to feed them. Or...they just think its a big game, lets see how mad we can make mommy

My children don't throw food during any meal time. I think that if they do ... at one point, their parents allowed them to do it!

well, i used to think that way that no matter what the parents are responsible but when i had a kid of my own i quickly learned that you cannot control who your child is as a human being. they have personalities that you cannot tame. my son is not a follower he is very independent in his mind and will go to great lengths to explore the world around him in all differnt ways. thanks for responding.

My children went through a similar stage at that age. They wanted their independance but had a hard time feeding themselves. Could he be frustrated at not getting the food into his mouth as quickly as he wants? Is he tired or really hungry when he acts this way?

All three of my children threw their food when they were just starting to eat finger foods. They also threw their plates, cups, balls, toys, everything! It's their fun game to make mom jump, they're not necessarily angry, why do you think your son gets mad? Yes, I think all babies do this!

yeah. thanks... um well, i think he gets mad or frusterated or something. cuz his eyebrows furrow up and he gets all tense and starts pounding throwing. not like hes having fun but more like he is mad at the food or something. i just dont get why. he is a very picky eater and very selective. everythign must be perfect for him .. but sometimes i go out of my way to make thing s perfect and no results he jsut doesnt. a few days i couldnt get him to eat anything all day... so i just gave him lots of formula. he didnt have a fever or anything like that he just wouldnt eat anythign i gave him. i did set up an appointment for the feeding clinic so they can check him to see if he has anything .. but i am still very worried. thanks for responding.

That is sad to hear that no child should have to go through that. Taking authoroty over your child does NOT mean beat the crap out of them you can do it just by using different tones in your voice trying hard not to shout at him it should pay off when he gets older and can tell you what is wrong. If your really concerned try asking your health visitor about your concerns they will give you as much information and help if needed. keep me posted on how you get on .
