I would suggest researching several religions and going from there...One good place to look is here
http://www.religioustolerance.org/index.htm
and a fun and actually fairly accurate quiz to take can be found here
http://www.beliefnet.com/Entertainment/Quizzes/BeliefOMatic.aspx
and of course in your search you NEED to go deep inside yourself and tune out what others have said you should believe or need to believe or any negative comments towards other paths etc....When finding your OWN path, the one thats BEST FOR YOU it needs to be from YOUR heart and soul...not that of anyone else..

Oh I also want to say that ITS OKAY to blend various religions to create your very own personal path which in all honest is how EVERYONE who feels the need to be religious should be...We ARE NOT carbon copies of one another so to thnk that any ONE path "as its written" will be perfect for anyone interested in it is so foolish IMO....Being religious or spiritual is a very personal thing so our paths should be geared as such

None; if my opinion counts, you should stay with your ancestral faith. Why contribute to the already utterly ugly and stiff rivalry amongst religions as to which draws the highest number of converts?
Of course, there is a chance that you might find some aspect/s of another religion appealing. In that case it is alright to admire or even follow that part of the religion. But you should not disrespect your original religion, in my opinion.
In any case there is no objective way to prove that a religion X is the only truth. All are fine.

If you mean the religion he/she was raised in then thats for starters NOT his/her original relgion its the religion of the parents, grandparents etc....and secondly following a religion you dont believe in with all your heart and soul IS disrespecting that religion..

I shall advise you to do comparative study of all religions.Certainly there is only one divine religion, presently existing in this world having following glaring attributes:
1.It is universal in nature and requires us to believe in all the Prophets and scriptures of God Almighty.
2.It is based on the divine book which has remained unaltered for centuries and millions of people have been memorizing it by heart in all parts of the world.
3.It is purely a Monotheistic religion, which declares Polytheism and idolatry as the biggest and only unforgivable sin.
4.It has its own moral, political, economic, social, legal systems which are best suited for the modern times.
5.It is the fastest growing religion today, claiming to enter each house, village, town, city and continent when Jesus(pbuh)will come to support it.
6.It is also the most misunderstood religion of the world as most of the people regard its followers as extremists/terrorists without understanding its true nature.
I have given all the hints for your guidance. Please find it out yourself......

it depends on your purpose.
do you want an in depth study and understanding of the holy writings?
are you looking for principles to guide your way through life?
do you want to insure your salvation or just looking for fellowship?
or do you want to draw closer to God?
The best religion is the religion approved by God.-James 1:27, Matthew 7:21,22

John 4:23-24 (New International Version)
23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
I wish you success in your search.

There are so many religions in the world. Each religion has its own principles. But there is one and only one religion called HUMINITY is the best religion to join and everybody will accept this. So you can join this religion without any hesitation.

I believe that adopting a religion is something that should be done only after long consideration and a good understanding of how the religion explains the world and what it requires of you to be a member. Personally, I am agnostic -- I'm not sure there is a god or gods at all -- but even that I recommend you understand well before considering it your way of life.

I think you should do a research to find the best religion for you. For every people, i think they will say that their religion is the best from other religion. I dont know which religion is best for you, because only you who can feel something best for you or not. Find the religion that can give you comfort, faith, truth, everything that you need for your life. I think religion is so personal, because its a way to get closed with God, in my opinion. So when we choose to follow one religion, we must have faith that the religion is the right one for us, so when we follow all the instructions in our chosen religion, we will do it with our heart, without any enforcement.

If you have to join some, then I think the best is that one, that you believe in and makes you being a better person. And which is that religion - that only you can decide with your heart. Just be careful not to join some sect - they're so good in manipulating people.
