blummus It may well be the metal in the ring, especially nickel or copper. You might try some Benadryl or a NSAID like aspirin or ibuprofen to reduce the swelling and pain.

blummus It's a new policy and applies only to posting links, so far as I can tell. It is also not something triggered by a short burst of posts. It's triggered at about 20 or so posts, no matter what the subject. I'm trying to find out what the limit per time...

blummus There are some things you can't know ahead, but it's never too early to start on the basics that will give you options when you are older. It doesn't hurt to work and save what you can before marriage, for instance.
