I know it may sound silly, but i have to have my closet door in the bedroom closed or i wont be able to go to sleep.
What am i afraid of? I dont know.
Also, do you need the lights on to go to sleep?

Wow! You're everywhere. I just responded to one of your queries. The answer is yes and no. I don't like having the closet door open. It probably tracks back to my mother's clown collection and Poltergeist. These days I don't worry so much about the monster that currently lives in my closet. I've found we have a lot of things in common. It's more of a compulsory need to have things, more or less, in order. As far as lights on ... absolutely not. I do fall asleep with the t.v. on occasionally, but I try to avoid that. Subliminally, the auditory parts of the television affect my dreams. Sounds weird, but it's true.

I think you're right about the compulsion to have things right. Although, i often wonder what else it could be?
As far as the lights, i have to have a light on. It can be dimm (sp) but i need something on. I know why i have that little problem! One night i was sound asleep many years ago and i awoke to an "orb" right over my belly. I freaked out and asked my husband if he saw a light, and he said, "Oh, i dont see anything..go to sleep"..There was a mist inside this ball of light and believe me i was really awake.
I do remember closing my eyes, hoping it would go away and i fell asleep and i was still freaking out in the morning.
That is my story of why i need a light on.
Who knows what that thing was!!! I never want to see that again!!! I get spooked easily.

When I was younger I did a lot of experimentation with out-of-body experiences, subliminal education, and states of consciousness. It's a fairly common occurrence in early states of sleep. You're conscious, basically in a hypnotic state, but perfectly aware of your surroundings. Personally, I have never had an experience like that, but I have had perfect recollection of past events that I never would have remembered under normal conditions. Have you ever been able to take control of a dream?

I had that problem when I was younger and just a couple of years ago I needed a night lite and I couldn't fall asleep with my bedroom pitch black. During those years I also had some issues with my my feet lol...I had to have them all covered with my blanket or I would get the weird feeling that someone wanted to grab them/touch them. I was ok with them uncovered if it was day time ..weird I know lol

I need the television on to go to sleep because for some reason I need to be watching tv to go to sleep. I have always been like this and I will be watching tv and just fall asleep. The radio does work as well but I will lay down at night and watch tv and just go to sleep. My wife does not mind this so that is a plus with me and she understands that for some reason I need to watch tv to fall asleep

I swear I have some form of mild OCD, because I cannot get to sleep at night until everything is in its rightful place
If the window curtains are messed up in any way, or there is a gap in them, I will get up and sort them out. Any closet doors open, ALL of them have to be shut before I can even think about getting to sleep. If there is anything on my bedroom floor, I absolutely HAVE to pick it up and put it somewhere. I have other weird bed-tine tendencies, but these are the first that spring to mind

I don't, its ok for me if my closet door is closed or not. I'm not afraid to that. I can sleep whether the light is on or not but I prefer most if its darker, I could sleep better.
