More Romantic---Beach or Pool

Boston, Massachusetts
February 14, 2010 1:43am CST
Hi Mylot Friends, We are already in our summer season and this means that people will be going to the beach and the swimming pool to enjoy the sunbathing, the water and just to take a break. My question is--between the beach and the pool which one is romantic for you? do you have any sweet and romantic moments in the beach or pool with your loved ones? Thanks.

for me is nice to have it on the beach, it's cold there so we can hug each other tight.

Hi Lordz, Welcome to Mylot. Wow, that's so sweet---the beach will be your witness as you shower each other with tight hugs maybe overnight?! people around will surely envy the two of you. i am sure your partner will have a great beach memory with you! thanks!

hello winky winks! are you already preparing plans for summer? hehe with me, i guess both are equally romantic just depends on how the couple be doing there. example, on the beach, it can be so romantic watching the sunrise/sunset..playing on the sand, talking of jsut anything, those sweet nothings...do those water activities on the beach, that sounds romantic right, but what if the partner is not cooperating? hehe so the romance will be spoiled. a swimming pool can be so romantic as well, example your husband rented a private resort , then prepares the place for you, putting some rose petals on the water...having a dinner with good music...haha and after that you can both enjoy swimming on the pool and just enjoy each others company... my husband & i have been on the beach & on the pool, even though we don't have such things as i described above, i still find it romantic coz we are enjoying the moments together!

hahaha...funny! i also like that eat me all you can idea! wahaha really naughty but cheesy! hehe yeah its true, the moment of being together & the memories we made will make it more romantic over the venue...the venue is just an additional attraction. but i must admit that it adds up and sets the mood for romance! hehe splash island? huh i am never been there even if i am from Laguna. you know my place in Laguna is just near with those resorts in Pansol...and when i am still there, we usually go for a swimming (even if i don't know how..) haha we prefer night swimming on the hot spring resorts... but now that we are here in a place where there's a lot of beach around, usually we just went to the beach...its cheaper. haha

Hi CK, yes, it's an annual event for the family. we go to the beach or the pool. our kids really love to swim. last year i brought them to our company outing that was held in Splash Island. it was really fun for the kids and i am a great alalay hehehe. private pool will be fine with me. at least it will onlybe youu and your husband together. you can do anything you want...everything is unlimited ummmm...cheesy! an officemate jokingly said this morning that he had a great valentines day--it was the "eat ME all you can that made his V-day" naughty...crazy...cheesy. ...seriously speaking...aside from the venue making it romantic is the moment the two of you created that makes it more even romantic...to the highest level!

Hi msf, I like walking along the beach, watching the sunset/sunrise, and just sitting on the sand and see it being kissed by the waves of the sea, oh that's so romantic. But if I have to go swimming, I prefer the swimming pool. It's because at the pool I know offhand the depth of the water(I don't know how to swim), and since I'm always with the kids it's easier to watch over them when in the pool than the beach.

Oh yes, we did this when he was still here, he actually likes the beach. We used to walk along the linings of the beaches in Batangas, Cavite, Pangasinan, even in Leyte and Ilocos. But when we have to swim, we go to the pool, that's why when going on vacation we prefer a resort at the beach with access to a pool. We used to this alone (just the two of us), and when the kids came, it became a family affair.

Beahes are fun places, BUT if you want to be romantic, i use the pool. It is more private and you don,t get everyone staring. That can sometimes be akward. TATA.

Hi Tata, You're right pool has more privacy than beach. You can even be more sweet and naughty without thinking that someone must be staring and or watching over you. so, do you have any plans now for summer? will it be a pool escapade?[em].

I'd prefer beach rather than pool. It's more romantic. You can just build a tent and a bonfire then sit near the shoreline to watch the sunset together. It's such a beautiful sight. I also love the sound of the waves. It's like music to my ears and then the wind blows your hair. For me beach setting is still more romantic compared to pool.

Hi Ladyslipper, When we go to the beach bonfire and a tent is part of the package that we need to bring aside from the food and personal belongings hehehehe. i love camp outs. you are right, there's music around...the sound of nature, so lovely, so relaxing, so energizing. sunrise and sunset, waves, the feel of the water early morning, and the breeze--wow heavenly feeling. you will feel so lucky for being there, for experiencing the beauty of the nature WITH YOUR HONEY. Yeaheyyyy..

You are right! The things you mentioned are what I love most about a Beach setting. Here where I live we are just near the beach resorts. The nearest one is just about 15- 20 minutes away by land.

I think that the sea is more romantic than the pool. I think that tropical beaches look really gorgeous like gently waving palm trees. In the day the sky is blue and in the evening there is an orange sunset that can be enjoyed. In the night there are beautiful stars that sparkle in the black sky. There are some lovely sea views and pretty beaches in my home country. I think a walk hand in hand along a sandy beach is romantic. I live in a cold country so we have indoor swimming pools. They are not romantic looking. I remember one outdoor swimming pool in Australia that was surrounded with palm trees. That was romantic looking.

Hi Maxima, I agree with your friend. i live in a tropical country and we are so rich with beautiful beaches. it's a portrait of what you are looking for as it relates to nature. holding hands and feeling the sand while walking together with our loved one with always be part of the excitement while in the beach. Genuinely romantic. thanks for responding! WE have lots of outdoor pool too with fake waves but it's fun too especially with the family and kids around.

Hi there Ms. Francisco! Well, I think that the beach would be more romantic because of the element of nature. It will be really romantic especially at sunset where the image of the color of the setting sun and the cool hues of the see meet in the horizon will be visible and could melt even a steel heart. It would be great to have that image in the background while strolling along the shore, holding hands and feeling the foamy waves on your feet. It's the perfect setting if romance is what you are after.

Hi Nanayangel, Well said friend. i like how you say it. you seemed to be "in the mood" for this discussion. your response is like a poem where you express freely your appreciation about the beach and how it is realted to love and romance. GREAT! Thanks for responding i appreciate it!

i think beach has a more romantic setting than a pool. with sunset and waves as background and you and your loved one just walking along the sand... soooo romantic to look at. unfortunately, i don't have fond memories of me and my husband on a beach. we kinda haven't been there ever since. :D pool i think is perfect for a family affair, specially for kids. but it doesn't mean that lovers are not welcome on the pool, and vice versa, its just that beach for me is more appropriate for lovers.

Hi Yushen, You are right. Usually during summer in our country, swimming pool is full of families gathering and bonding together especially during weekends. but during weekdays, most of those who checked in in the pool are lovers seeking for some privacy. You have to try exploring the beach. you and your husband will fall in love over and over again. you can try it this summer friend! good luck.

Well, that depends on whether or not one or the other is PRIVATE. For swimming I prefer a pool, but beaches are nice for picnics and getting some sun and a nice secluded beach could be very romantic.

hmmm for me it's the pool. Well, if I was asked this question before then I would say beach, that's the time I was innocent hehehe. The pool because I can teach my girlfriend to know how to swim. You know, the feeling when you can do something your beloved can't and you teach them to be able to do so, it gives such feelings. There are many things more to do at the pool than stay on the beach. That's why it's romantic to me.

Hi Hubfee, It's good that despite your appreciation of all the romantic things that you can do in the pool, you still considered safety. that's a good point. although accidents can always happen wherever you are but of course the probability is lesser in the pool. Whew...that's intriguing ha, aside from teaching your girlfriend to swim in the pool there's lots of things you can do in there? hmmmmmm...well, enjoy!

whistle, you better expose yourself to the beach or the pool. who knows she's just around there, playing with the sand and enjoying the water and the beauty of the beach or even the nice jacuzzi in the pool while hoping and looking for the person i am talking to right now...good luck. give yourself a break and have schedule one this summer!

I love the beach, and if I was to have a nice, secluded beach, then I would say that it was the more romantic option. However, most beaches are very crowded and there is no way that a crowded beach can be romantic in my honest opinion. However, many people have their own swimming pools in their yards and that has a great potential to be very romantic situation. So, I would say that typically the swimming pool is far more romantic than the beach.

Hi Dorann, WE have lots of beaches and pools in our country. you can pick your choice from those public and private resorts. it's always good to enjoy a break with the family even in a public beach but will always be good to have a private one with your partner...your hubby. having a swimming pool inside the yard is a great one but in our country only those who are rich has the capacity to have a pool inside their yard. when was the last you and your loved ones visited and enjoyed the pool? are you planning to have one this summer? it's already summer here in the philippines! so more fun time in the beach and pool. thanks for responding friend!

Wow! Nothing can beat the beach when it comes to being romantic especially when the sun is already setting then you hold hands as you stroll on the white sands and clear water until the moon rise on the horizon. Sigh! It's nice being in love.

Hi Atv818, I affirm your response friend. it's the beauty of the nature surrounding the beach that makes it extra romantic. it's really a great feeling staying over with your the love of your life getting away from the stressors in life. you're able to build your own world and does not care about what's happening around...it's really nice and great to be in love!

This discussion came in timely with the moment I have just begun to feel the summer and sweat. Summer has just begun here and it would be for long months. Sadly so. I love beaches and even at the risk of getting extensively tanned I would prefer it over pool. I love the nature and we have some cool beach lines here. I love the less frequented ones, which is rare to find these days but there are a few good ones. Sweet, romantic moments? Nah..no luck as yet. It seems you have a lot of those love moments. Enjoy those and keep sharing.

Hi Mimpi, Yes we can feel the heat and sweat of summer...and beach is one of the places we used to have some summer escapades. at least you have beaches nearby that you can visit to once you feel like having a break and want to spend it in the beach. you are right friend, we had lots of memories in the beach and also in the pool--me and my husband and also with our kids. thanks for sharing. i missed seeing you around lately.

me and my wife does not enjoy swimming on beaches, we both do not like the sand. since the day we are together we enjoyed swimming on resorts or pool. but we have this one experience when my wife was pregnant yet we went to a beach for a change. we did not swim but we enjoyed the sun going down, walking at the sand, talking about our future having our child. i guess it is more romantic at the beach. specially if the place is not crowded.

Hi 7thbird, i think that's one of the most romantic dates you ever had in your life with your wife...that one day of being in the beach--the time when she's pregnant and you watch the sun set and just enjoy the beauty of the nature. it will be a memory worth remembering...so romantic friend cheers and toasts to that!

Hi Artee, Lots and lots of activities that we can surely do in the beach--along the seashore-where we can innovate games and sports, a once in a lifetime beach sport with your loved one, run-after me then once you reach each other, youu can hug and roll on the sand--whew so sweet and romantic. you too can hold hands while watching the sun sets and bid the day with a kiss--so lovely friend. i feel so in love just imagining the scene! thanks for taking sharing.
