Have you or a close friend or relative been the victim of cyber bullying?

I've had a nasty comment or two aimed at me, but I've never had anyone follow or continue to bully me. That really is a childish thing to do. It seems that the internet brings out the worst behavior in some people. I can't imagine what people like that are like in real life. I hope you're able to put a stop to it soon. Hang in there!

I have been with some of my friends while they were on Facebook Chat and I have been called various names on there behind my back and to my err, screen. I just ignore it most of the time, which is the best way I believe, but sometimes revenge gets the best of me.

I had talked a little bit on Myspace and Facebook to a boy and girl from same town as me. I did not really know them but they seemed ok at first. Then they started to send me mean messages on msn chat and on facebook so I deleted them. I also wrote a comment complaining because someone called kelly Brook fat on a blog. Someone else replied back saying that REALLY nasty things like Im ugly etc. It was awful to read and had me in tears. I would copy and paste it here but I still get upset over it.

We had a guy like that on a forum once. He was nuts, calling people horrible names and hurling insults without provocation. He was kicked out and has been kicked off every board in the years since. He keeps trying to re-register under different names and has kept up this nonsense for years! I hope your bully eventually gets a life and stops.

This type of thing never happens to met yet and i hope i'll never meet this sort of pathetic guy who has nothing to do in his poor pathetic life. The best way for you is to ignore his messages, like you say, he'll be tired with his pathetic game. xD

Yes, I also have such experience. I had to quit using Facebook or another networks like this, had to change my Skype and forget about some e-mails. This person even started to find and contact relatives of mine and that really crossed any limits. Now I think /hope/ the person gave up. Actually there is not much that can be done especially when the victim is not a child. What I've read about cyber bullying is that the best practice is to IGNORE. Do not answer whatever he says. Do not delete anything. If you have to prove that he's bullying you, printed copies are not allow in the court. If he threaten you, you can go to the police.

Well, it's happened with people I know over Myspace. I started dating my current boyfriend and it made these couple girls mad so they commented on all my photo's saying how ugly and gross I was and that I should just die, things like that. They were too chicken to say any of this to my face of course. Then my boyfriend told them off and to leave me alone and they stopped. I'm sorry about that guy who's harassing you! Hopefully he backs off soon!
