Is there a specific reason as to why the sky is blue or is it just God's choice?

The Reason the Sky is Blue is because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. The reason why it's that colour is anyones guess but it has to be some colour.

as far as i know, it is because the reflection of the plankton in the sea water. since the plankton made sea water 'turn' blue in color, then the reflection also going to be blue.

Seawater is blue or green because of plankton in the water. When water appears blue when you look out over a lake or the ocean, it is because the water is reflecting the blue light from the sky, rather than the other way around. If you are on the water or standing where you can see the shore of a lake or bay, you can sometimes see the reflected image of the far shore as well.

I think it has something to do with the blue and violet color in white light. Blue and violet are reflected by the sun and they are the only colors that capable of being reflected. I am not quite sure of the explanation but it has something to do with blue and violet colors in white light. I've forgotten my class about this already. :D
