My very first cellular phone was Philips. It was a very simple phone at that time it was an analog type of phone. There was a sim card and all it could do was make and receive calls and send and receive messages. There were no other features available at that time.

The first cellphone I got was a Nokia 918 that I bought with cash for about $150 in the yer 2000. I used it until 2003, when the battery crapped out, and I could not find a new one. I then bought a Nokia 3390 which lasted until 2007, and I am now using an LG 550 Fusic, which I intend to use until it breaks.

The first cellphone is had was a motorola. It's one of the first GSM motorola units. Because then Motorola was still the leading brand for the analogue phones. It's smaller and lighter than nokia 5110 it's already a four liner and you can choose your color background from red blue and orange. It's very cute. The only problem i had with that model was it's defective LCD. I replace the same unit twice because of defective LCD. The good thing was, it was covered by the one year warranty so i was given a new replacement.

Oh yes I can still remember my phone its an ericson unit, It is quite big and bulky too just the way all cellphone are before. Funny how everybody feels so proud having cellphone with ringtones that sounds like a cradle song for children. And when you bring it around with you, you have to have a bigger bag too!

Yeah, I still remember my first cell phone. It was Sony Ericsson K700i. I think it's really great phone with many features and it is very cheap. That's why I choose that Phone. But, now, It's not my phone again. I lost it when I traveled somewhere. Now, my phone is BlackBerry.

I had a Motorola Jazz I think. It was big and silver. I'm not a fan of new phones. I've only ever had five mobile phones. I wait until they break until I get a new one. I"m getting kind of fed up with the mobile craze. I'm seriously thinking about making my next one an old black and white Nokia! I once fell into a pool with one in my bag and it still worked for months after!

Yes, i still remember my first cell Phone. My fist cell Phone is Nokia 8250 ( it was in my 2nd semester in college ). It has blue screen, which is quite cool at that time. After that i change my cell phone to Nokia 3350 ( or 3250, kinda forget ). I use it at 6th semester. After i have a job, i change it to Nokia N70. I use that until now.

Yes, it was a very cool cell phone at its time. But now, it far from cool. Since now most phones have color on the screen. Anyway, what is your first cell phones, what you choose that one, and do you like it? Or you simply bought it because it price. Anyway, nice discussion here, hope you reply it again.

I would just like to say that I started a very similar discussion to this not that long ago. Did you do a search before submitting this discussion topic? I must admit, when I first started here I would forget so I'm hoping that's what you have done in this case. However, you have only been here for three weeks so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. There are people on here that would report you but I am not that kind of person. Just be wary that if you start a discussion that someone else has already started (recently) then be prepared for them not to be as lenient as me. Thank you.

The difference between my discussion and yours is that I started with the question "Do You Remember Your First Mobile Phone/Cellphone?" I actually used both names as I know most people say "cellphone" as opposed to what the Brits say, which is "mobile phone." I cannot remember when I started the discussion but - like I say I have not been here for very long and, like yourself, would sometimes forget to do a search. That's what I suggest you do in the future. Many thanks.

Hi ridwan! My first cellphone way back 2000 when I was in first year high school is the nokia 5110. I got it after I begged and grovelled my parents to buy me one ;) It was the one with the antenna, and one of the first models nokia released that became popular. I remembered back then, when you had a cellphone, no matter what unit, you are "cool" and part of the "in" crowd. But nowadays, it serves as a necessity and almost everyone, no matter the age or social status, have one. :)

i still remember my first phone, an analog. it didn't have a short message service (SMS) capable and SMS at that time is still very rare. it was big and heavy, maybe because of the battery pack. i think it was a OKI brand.

haha my first cell phone was a Nokia refrigerator edition. It was kind of embarrasing to carry around in your pants because there is this huge bulge that sticks out when i wear my pants, but then again everyone else did at that time.
