Why fear death when death brings us to heaven? ?

if good people die, will they go to heaven?
if good people go to heaven when they die, then death is something we should not fear, right?
I thought about this when i read mylot discussions about heaven and death.
But why do a lot of people fear death?
What do you think? is there an irony here?

Personally, I'm not sure why someone would be afraid to die. It comes to us all, whether we believe there is an afterlife or not. Personally, I don't believe there is a Heaven or a Hell, so I am not afraid of either one. The process of dying is usually unpleasant, so I'm not looking forward to it, but I hope it won't be too prolonged.
Still, you make a good point. If you believe there is a Heaven and you're going there, what is there to fear?

I think people die and that's it. They don't go anywhere.
