Hi myLotters! my question is very simple- What will you do, if a pickpocket pulls your purse, bag, or package you are carrying? Will you chase him or will you just call the police or ask someone to help you? I will chase him, because i think it is the better and faster way to get what he has stolen from me
Hope you will take part at my discussion

I don't have much in my bag and I don't like the idea of being clobbered so he can have it and I will call the police after I unfreeze.
If I had your shoes I would run after him though!

I had my wallet stolen from my bag at my workplace a few years ago and ever cince then I do not keep much in it. It is expensive to replace all the documents as well as sad losing any money too

That happened to me in Prague, but I didn't see it happen. They got my wallet right out of a fanny pack. I guess my husband would have chased them, not me, I'm not that fast. But I would have made a scream and a fuss and hoped that somebody else would go after them.

he must be a very bold thief when he stole it from your fanny pack. nowadays they really get bolder and bolder and the police must really do something to solve the problem

If that happens to me, I will definitely give chase to the pickpocket. I am trained in martial arts and I am also a good runner, so I don't have much to worry about. At the same time, I would probably shout for help or call the police on my mobile phone.

I will make the same thing. I am trained in martial arts, but i am a good runner like you, and I will have no problem with chasing him, so that's why i will do the same as you

Unfortunately I have some experience in this. I'm a woman and I can't imagine I'll chase someone. So I just gave my purse. I prefer that than to have bigger problems. Money comes and goes, I prefer to save me than my purse :lol Probably if I was a man I wont give my things so easy but I'm not sure it worth.

He is not a trained pick pocketer if he draws your attention while doing so.They usually act swiftly without your notice and disappears in the crowd. If I can smell it,I will be chasing him and call all others to help me in that.Complaining to the police will be the last step if I miss him or the next step if I caught hold of him.

hi! yes, the good pickpockets are good trained and know how to steal you purse/wallet even if you have it in your hands! the way you will do it is the best one, because the police will arrive to late to catch him and if you chase him and shout for help i think the chances to catch him are more than 90%

I won't run after him or even fight. There are some pickpockets who is not afraid to kill a victim. I'd rather let him get my those things he stole that to let him get my life. Those are just material things and I think can be replaced.

yeah, and you are also a girl, which makes you easier to fight with and it is really not recommended to chase him

Well, if such situation should occur, I think I would be chasing the pickpocket. While running, I would also try to call the police, perhaps they could send a nearby patrol to assist me with hunting down the thief. Maybe I would even shout "catch the thief!" so other people could also help me with catching him.

Hi Bio! yeah, it is really good what you will do, if someone tries to steal your wallet. I think we all must not let him slip out

aargh! some are sneaky and pull out my wallet smoothly so in some of the more crowded places i tend to keep my wallet in my front pocket rather than the back one, one should always be careful, well if i did find someone stealing i would chase! and i have to catch him, i am good at 100 meters sprint but well if i would be able or not it depends coz it isn't easy if its a crowded place.. but well if he/she escapes then let us see what i can do, i keep my id in my wallet and don't carry much money, id is more important i don't want to lose it, it's a big headache applying for the new one eh

yes, keeping the wallet in the front pocket is maybe the best solution, because you have an eye on it in each moment. I am also good in running, because I play football and I am accustomed with it

if the guy who pulls my purse or bag is smaller than me i will definitely chase him but if he is bigger than me i will just call a police becuase i will risk my life maybe if that person has some back up waiting and stub me and thats it my life was end in just a bag or a purse..

well, the size doesn't mean that he will hurt you or something like that. I think the brain is that think, which is more important here, because if you know how to act correctly you can catch him without a fight

If a pickpocket tries to take my wallet or bag, i will run after him and try to catch him. By the time I call the police he would be gone, I will run after him. I will shout to the people in front of him to stop him or to get out of the way. What I have seen people who are standing by, do get to know what is happening so they come to help without even asking them to. When the pickpocket is caught I will give him a smacking that he has never received before and then call the police.

I'm kind of a pickpocket expert myself so i do know how to protect myself...
But in case I do get pickpocketed, OF COURSE I'm gonna chase him down any way I can!
I can run like hell and I sure don't get tired too fast so he'll definateley get a good rundown!

i will let it go and report it to the police... my life is much more valuable than material things and i don't want to risk my precious life just to fight with a pickpocket... my life can't be replaced but material things can... also, i won't bring any of them when i die later on... so just let it go... take care and have a nice day...

I would definitely give chase to this thieving swine
I would willingly risk an ambush or attack if it meant retrieving my stolen goods and handing out a bit of punishment of my own
Besides, the police have proven their incompetence to me time and time again, so I would rather they didn't get involved to be honest with you.

hi! you've said it right- a thieving swine We must chase them like the hunter chases his prey and when we catch him, make him sorry hundreds of times about that, what he has done

No, I won't run after him, he might have company and they might hurt me. I will just report the matter to the police and file a robbery case against him. I won't sacrifice my life for just a purse or a bag, it can be replaced but my life, will not.

a nice answer friend! Yes, you are right, he can have some company with him, and if it is so, you can be in a big danger, but if that happens on some place full of people, will you go after him?

Interesting discussion ! I will surely chase him and catch him for sure.NOt because of money I'm having most important things of my life in my purse. It is very secret. Some small gifts given by my love.So it is dangerous to keep it in my home.So I'm having those things in my purse. So surely I won't miss it.I will surely catch that person.

Reporting him to the Police is less likely to get him caught... chasing him only if you find yourself superior is the best way, if you are an old man, a women or a kid well thats life, be more careful next time. Life is dangerous overall!

yeah, we can really chase him, only if we are able to catch him, because as you say old people, women(the most of them) and kids have no chance to catch this guy
