i just watched the hockey and the Canadian men's team had to go to the 4th round of the shootout to beat team Switzerland. it was tied 2-2 after regulation then it goes to 4 on 4 for 5 minutes, which after that they were still tied which sent it to the shootout, which after the first 3 shooters it was still 0-0 so after that they can pick anyone to shoot so Sidney Crosby scored on his 2nd chance and they won the shootout to set up a big game on Sunday between Team USA and Canada for 1st place in the group which is currently Team USA because you get 3 points for a regulation win and only 2 for a overtime or shootout win. did anyone else get to see this game it was the best of the tournament so far, but even though Canada had the much superior talent the Switzerland goalie who plays for Anaheim of the NHL refused to let them lose the game, which was great to see. maybe team USA has a chance after all, but that is why they play the games maybe Canada got caught looking ahead to Sunday's game with team USA. did anyone else get to see this game and if so what did you think of it?

Can't say that I watched it. The only winter olympics that I have caught is on the news. Probably if I was going to watch anything would be figure skating. But the above game that you describe above sounds like it was a very interesting and intense game.

Yes, that would be exciting to and worth the watch of an exciting last five minutes of the game. I did watch a few of the events tonight at work, one of them was bobsledding and the other was speed skating.

i only got to see the last 5 minutes of the game and the overtime and the shootout, because my parents told me about it i would have watched the game, but forgot what time it came on, but the amount of it i got to see certainly made up for what i missed. it always nice to see the team that is supposed to be the less talented team put up a fight like they did it really makes it worth watching.

yes i can certainly see that, especially the part about the snow. I was tired of it after we got a foot and a half in a week, but what i saw of the game was very entertaining and fun to watch. you don't see too many games that have overtime and a shootout that must be a new rule that they added recently, because i don't think they had shootouts in the preliminary rounds.

I brought my son to his taekwondo class. And then I sneaked out into a pub nearby to watch the game. The 2nd swiss goal was a lucky one as it bounced off a Canadian player. It was obvious that Canada was nervous. Maybe it was the pressure of performing in front of the home crowd. Sid the kid made up for it by making the shootout winner. Still, they only got 2 points. Makes for an interesting game on sunday.

well i didn't get to see the whole game, but what i got to see made up for what i didn't get to see. i guess they are lucky that they could re-use Crosby, not that Canada is short on players that can put it in the net, but he is probably one of the best in the NHL at the shootout so why not give him a second try, since it payed off so well. they may have gotten caught looking ahead a bit, but still should be a good game Sunday i hope
