Hi Everyone,
Have you owned a female pregnant dog that has give birth?...
I just want to know if it is normal for dogs to give birth to a first puppy, then after several hours there are still puppies inside her?...
I have a female dog that just give birth 10 hours ago, only one puppy came out, I could still feel that there are still remaining puppies inside her. I just wondered if it is normal that there are still puppies inside her up to this time?...

In my experience, when my dog gave birth, a pup was released at night then the next day another pup came out. I am not sure what was the time gap but it is long. Maybe it is not normal for a dog to give birth with only 2 pups but I didn't thought that time gaps are not normal :D

I rescued her the afternoon of June 21st around 5 p.m. and realized she was in labor (I spay all my cats so I don't know labor) later that evening and took her to the vet the next morning. They tried to help her until mid-afternoon when they finally did the c-section/spay.
They kept them both for 3 days and then sent them home.
I kept the kitten, found a home for mom. If you check my photos the solid fluffy brown tabby is Solo. also the little baby I think is there

That happened to my dog couple years ago too. She had 2 puppies and I was glad that's all she had and then a couple hours later she dropped another one.. I was really surprised but I think it's pretty normal.
It happens to women too....they give birth to 1 child and all of a sudden there comes another 1 an hour later.
