World wide web is just full of scammers. This is possible because they can get away with it. Is there anything being done with this?

i think the only way that scammers will get caught is from the fbi tracking them down and i think some of the police help out with catching them aswell. it is highly illegal for those scammers to take advantage of people and steal money from harmless people. it is really sad. i think i had signed up for a scam site in which i put in SOME false information about myself but i am still not sure if those scammers got away with it... i am hoping they didnt. if they did get away with it then i am hoping they ended up in jail for doing it. now i am ALOT safer using the internet and safer signing up for things. i make sure i know it is legit before i sign up for whatever it is.

I'm pretty sure that there's a law for taking advantage of people much more a group of people and it doesn't matter what business you are in. If you can prove and gather enough evidence that this individual is outright fraudulent then that should be enough.
