Can you post pictures?
My laptop is falling apart, and I'm thinking of getting an iPhone, or an iPod touch or something. I was wondering if I would be able to post on MyLot with this technology.
Please share your experiences.

hi danishcanadian,
I've tried it with my Nokia N73 a number of times and it works well. I have insOpera Mini and Skyfire installed on my mobile as web browser but the thing is, I still like to mylot with my laptop/notebook. Lotting on phone eats-up my time. I can't do the tab thing and I have big fingers...hahaha! I also tried it on my friend's HTC phone and it works perfectly fine. But as I've said I still love lotting on my pc. Ohhh if you can have your laptop fixed that is a good option. Or try to buy another laptop perhaps? The price of an iPhone 3g in here can buy you a decent laptop but not Apple brands. Haha! There are netbook such as HP, Compaq, Asus that are leveling the price of an iphone. You may check that out.
Happy Lotting!

Thank you. I have never heard of your device. Is it more like a flip phone, a blackberry, or a smart phone like an iPhone? I am not familliar enough with the different devices the different brands offer, to really know what's what. Thanks for posting your answer.
I am going to look at the extended warranty on this one, and if not I am going to get a new laptop. I'm thinking more of a backup, since I plan on getting an iPod Touch anyway.

HTC phone is an android phone like iphone (touch phone) while Nokia N73 is a music edition series of Nokia and it is like a regular phone not even a touch phone and it has key pad (full). Iphone is cool. My sister has it and mylot works fine with it.

browsing on the web on a cell phone is a bit difficult or rather it can be. There are some members who say they can access mylot from their phones, but I am not one of them. I don't use the web enough to justify the expence. So I'm not even bothering. though with e-mail settings enabled it is possible to trying.

i tried to use mylot on mobile but it is really very very slow...i was really irritated at that time...
your idea of getting iphone is good but may be you will also be irritated by slow sites when they open..
so think before you buy and search it all over the internet .

yeah I can access mylot from my I-Phone and sometimes when am sat around with no laptop then I post using my I-Phone
any phone that has a browser has the capability of accessing mylot though the I-Phone 3gs is pretty quick web wise compared to some of the other phones.

What kind of mobile device do you have? I have a typical flip phone, and I wouldn't even try to do it through one of those, but I wonder if it would be possible on something different, like an iPod touch, iPhone, or blackberry.

HI
When the mylot was not upgraded, it was possible to go for mylotting,
easily through a good compatible mobile phone or iphone. However,
now a days, after upgradation, it is becoming difficult to work on
mylot, using mobile handset. Pages won't get uploaded easily. I am
finding it difficult to work through my mobile handset.

I posted a few discussions and a few responses on my iPhone, but I fine it a PITA to do so - for one thing, the keyboard is so small, and over sensitive and gives sometimes strange "suggestions" and... well, you can see I don't find it very helpful to use - I'd much rather use my computer - and I have a full sized, desktop jobbie - heck, I'd probably want an independent keyboard and full size screen if I were using a laptop... tho I wouldn't find them as hard to use as the iphone

I have a verizon lg envtouch and I haven't had any success in doing anything in mylot which I wish I could because I could respond to discussions when I was away from my pc. If anyone knows how to do it I sure would also like to know this as well.

This is very difficult to explain because the phone is now very sophisticated and has facility data transmission and reception of data connected with a variety of equipment. Besides mobile phones offer a variety of forms, depending on the needs of the user.

hello, dan! well,i am also hoping to get myself in mylot using a cellphone, just when i have no time to face the computer. well,i have read all your responses above me,but there are only few who got themselves in mylot using their phones. maybe nokia N73 would be fine as well as the IPhone as other members have said here. i was thinking of searching other phones but it's hard to tell if they will work fine with mylot or not.so,like you,i'm still waiting for oters responses to learn more with mobile mylotting...
thanks for the topic.

My phone isn't smart enough. I was reading that some people do, but that they've been having problems since the recent myLot upgrades went in.

I have an lg envtouch and I have tried to post with it, and it really doesn't work all taht well. It is a 3inch screen, which isn't all that big, but there are bigger ones out there now. I have tried a few times and just gave up. I do have an ipod toiuch, and I can post from it, but it takes awhile. It is just so hard when the screen is smaller and hard to post and make it look like it should on the computer. I have only posted a few times on the ipod touch as it just takes to long and if I am somewhere where there isn't an wifi, then it won't work anyway. I will just stick with the computer for now. I do plan on upgrading to a phone where i can access mylot in case I am not at home. I am thinking of getting a droid or maybe a samsung omnia. By the time I upgrade, there will probably be better phones out there anyway. Take care, and have a good day.
