Which is more tolerable for you--runny nose or clogged nose?

I am having colds right now, and I don't like it when something suddenly drops out of my nose without me noticing it. It just won't stop! Clogged nose sucks, too. Having to breathe through the mouth is a hassle.
I just thought of this silly question. Which do you think is more irritating?

Both are very bad conditions of cold. but comparing to clogged nose, i feel running nose is better. Atleast we could take away the cold out of our body by this way.

I only get clogged nose when I'm lying down. It's easy to manage a clogged nose, I just move around and keep myself busy and it will be gone in minutes. I hate runny nose more. They are messy, sticky, and sometimes you don't notice it running down your nose.

Ugh! I don't like both! Hahaha.. Nice question. :) But if you'd ask me which one is more tolerable I think I'd go for clogged nose :( Hah! I really don't know.. I guess depends on situations. If I'm outside the house I don't having a runny nose because it's somewhat annoying when you're around people and all you do is sniff.
But when I'm at home I don't mind having a runny nose at all because in fact it's better having a runny nose in my case having an acute sinusitis. Clogged nose are not good for my sinuses because they ache easily and eventually my brain aches too. But when outside the house I prefer clogged nose so I can blow it well on comfort rooms :) Really depends on situations. :)

Sinusitis is really annoying. :) You wouldn't wish you'd have that. Mine's an acute sinusitis though and even if it's rare that I experience sinusitis, each time I experience it my head aches and my right ear is affected as well. :( it's hard to breathe when you have one and you'll get annoyed by having to sniff all the time :( You are not allowed to eat some foods which triggers the nose and you should always cover your nose to smokes, bad odors, etc because it will worsen your breathing. Now that's really annoying. :(

Hey mj! I hate having colds! They are so annoying! I have sinus
problems all the time so I have a stuffy nose all the time and
it is horrible! I can't breathe at all every night when I am
trying to sleep! And I also hate when I have a runny nose too!
I think they are both miserable! But, I think I would have to
say that not being able to breathe is worse! You can breathe
with a runny nose at least! When you are all stuffed up and
trying so hard to breathe that to me is the worst! I hope
you feel better! Get lots of rest and drink lots of liquids,
like green tea and orange juice!

i think you posted a real tough question. clogged nose means lack of sleep and runny nose means almost nothing done throughout the day except wipe one's nose.

Ugh! both cases are annoying. Runny nose comes with sneeze after sneeze, watery eyes, itchy eyes.. Sounds like an allergy heheh. Clogged noses I don't like either. Breathing through the mouth makes me bloated with trapped gas in my innards. OUCH. BURP. PFFT. Very uncomfy.
Maybe you should try hot pads, those small ones, on your nose. It does relieve the stuffiness. I swear! :)

I rather have a running nose then a clogged nose. When my nose is clogged and I can't breath its so uncomfortable and then I can't sleep. Don't get me wrong I don't like either but the running nose is more tolerable.
