I have been at a restraunt and found hair in my food. It was really gross to think someone dropped hair in my food. It might have been a accindent. I never complain about it I just don't eat the rest of my food. I will save my Appitatite for later. I never complain about my food because I am afraid of what others might do to it if I complain. I am never going to take that chance. I want my food clean and not messed with. I keep my mouth shut when it comes to things like this.

My mom and I went out to eat about a week ago and she found hair in her soup. I told her not to say anything but I look back and I think she should have. When we eat out people should be carfeul not to let their hair drop in the food. I know that the place could get in a lot of trouble when it comes to having forgien objects in food. Anyway thanks for sharing this and mylotting to you as well.

My food is always prepared by my mother and she takes more care while preparing the same. But some times it happens accidentally of having hair. It really bad to me to have the rest of the food.
But I love my food and I just throw them out and say thanks to my mother not to have this kind of situation again while packing or preparing my food.

I have a few times. Although sometimes it could not be blame because because in the process of the food being cooked to being served, there are quite a number of chances for any impurities to be "added" in the food. Yes, I heard about terrible stories of how the food can be "treated" if one tries to complain and ended up with extra ingredients dish.
The last time I found hair in my food, was when I bought a takeaway Japanese pancake which is filled with blueberry jam inside. I hold on the pancake for quite a while since I was happily chatting with my boyfriend. And when he finally stopped to do something and I was about to take my first bite, I realized this hair which initially I thought that I just removed it will do. But when I pulled it, the whole pancake was stick to the hair and I was so freaked out that I walked back to the store.
Although the pancake was less than a dollar but I am not going to just throw away the pancake which I haven't had a bite at all, right? So I walked back and the lady at the counter apologize repeatedly to me and I was totally cool with it. But I guess the lady felt worried over this and offer me 2 pancakes instead of just one which I rejected initially but she insisted so I got 1 pancake for free which left me less scarred because of the hair incident.

i have found hair in my food in any restaurant but i have found hair in my food in my home . its quite natural to happen and we cant do much about it . even i cant blame my mom for that . its just an error . i wont care about it too much . i will just take out the hair and continue eating the food . i have had many such experienbce and my mom will be careful with that too since it may cause some problems if it goes inside .

Not hair. But the waiter serving the soup with his thumb in it ..... not just once .... daily. I mentioned it to him ..... but obviously was his way of serving soup.

fortunately, so far i don't... i will definitely make a complain to the manager if i find hair in my food... the food safety regulations here is very strict and the restaurant can get a heavy fine or even closed down if they are found breaching the rules... i don't want to get sick by eating the food that has been contaminated by hair... that is so gross... take care and have a nice day...

Yes I have. Sometimes at restaurants or maybe in food that comes from a take-away. When at restaurants, I ask the dish to be changed which happily they do but if its food from the take-away, then there’s nothing once can do about it. At other times too I’ve found hair in home-cooked food which can only be mine LOL…I feel so bad but then its OK…things happen you know!

It happen when we are eating in a restaurant with my friend
because it's her birthday. Then when the foods arrived we jokingly said that
what if we find a cockroach in our plates...then we can have free foods.
We are in the middle of our eating when my friend notice something swimming in the soup dish...it's a tiny ants not only one but three. We kind of really disappointed
but we did not cause any trouble inside the restaurant we just informed the waitress what we found an insect in our foods. After the insect we can't swallow any food again from that restaurant...even if it's free.

did u ask to the boss to change the food? // for me is discusting found a hair on my food, because, u think, the cooks dont really take care with the higienic methods to make a good meal, and if we find a hair, imagine this, they woulndt wash her hands, dont use gloves to cook, all the viruses and bacterians would be appeared this, and if u eat this, would haave a bad pain on your stomach! // this situation is not to be paranoic, but is true.. of course, perhaps they cook with good behaviours, and just fall a hair in your food, but this is not usual.. just when i cook at home, i try to cook with higienic conditions, trying to not have this problems..
have a nice day, happyy mylotting.

Yea. and all sorts of other gross things. if everyone bothered to make a big court case law suit over every gross thing found in there food (the finger chevy's and bee in the ice etc., which most of were found to be frauds!) then all these companies would be shut down. It's kind of inevitable. Gross, but inevitable.

You should have complained to the owner of the restaurant at the least and it would have helped them to not repeat in the future. In houses too,it occurs but we have a superstition in our area that if there is hair in the food then the bond between the server and the host will last long. So,just take it away and sprinkle some water on the food and eat the rest is what we follow at home. But in a restaurant i will complain surely.

I found a hair in my food after chewing it. I never complained of it, I took the hair and threw it away and come back to eat. I in the next day had to make sure that food is not found other things mixed with food which not happen in the previous day. I hold myself to talk to the cook, because perhaps it can be happen any time.

I have, I may have even had my hair fall in your food.(thought I doubt it) I have worked in the hospitality industry for a long time. In the 9 years, so far, I have had food come back..due to hair about 10 times. Usually, the service staffs, or the customers...A friend of mine, saw one customer, pluck a hair, and put it in the food to try and get a discount. Despicable.
I can understand that it grosses people out, for me I just take the hair out of the food, or my teeth, and keep on eating. It is just hair after all, can't get sick from that.
I appreciate you.

i heard a story of one customer who always complain about his food, the waiters and the cook were upset because of this arrogant customer, the spat on his food. and he ate eat all :-)
it's ok ok to complain i guess, but we can do it in a nice way.
everybody wants clean food, but accident happens, if it happens then remove the hair and pray that God will sanctify your food not to get sick, then eat your food as if nothing happend. We'll not die for sure for just few more bacteria/germs added into our food hehehe.

In my house someone always gets hair in their food, it is the bonus they get for me cooking for them. Even if I tie my hair back a piece of my hair still ends up in the meal. Kind of like Joey from Friends knowing which lasagna belonged to his sister. In a restaurant the food is going back. In my house they just pull it out.

Its a good thing that you don't make a show about it, because for an accident like this, people can loose their jobs or clients! Well, when I started college, I went to my class to other state to climb a mountain and do stuff like rappel! We went to a restaurant and that dinner was included in the travel package we had. In my friend's soup she found a cockroach and she started to scream and making a huge deal out of it, but all she got was for us not to finish our dinner and the restaurant did nothing, the waitress was crying so I think they fired her or she lost her salary! So I thought it would have been better to pretend nothing happened! Greetings tuckersheri! Libna.
