Lockerz was established by Liberty Media Corporation, so it has a lot of money behind it (you'll see that if you look up Liberty Media). Also, in general, it's not just answering questions, but if you think about it, many of the questions can be used for market research purposes to find out about people that use Lockerz, so they are actually getting valuable information out of your questions.

I do agree with the Liberty Medai stuff (So says their FAQ). And people received gifts from them, so its not a scam. Anyway I don't think they are collecting valuable marketing purpose information from users, they ask about hobbies, favorite stuff and various things which is even out of business..!

It might not seem like much, but if you think about it, tons of businesses can use the answers you give to make products that appeal more to the population. For example, you tell them things that you enjoy do or stuff that you like. Then multiply your answers by possibly a million or more, and you have a pretty decent sized sample of the consumer body. Now the research companies get a general idea of the kinds of things people like and enjoy, so they can model their products to appeal to more people.
