...a discussion that you can start in mylot, you will note on a sheet of paper will not forget the idea, or one you noted in your mobile phone?
Where and when come in your mind the best ideas of what you want to discuss on this site?
Maybe just when you drink a coffee or when you take a bath, or to office, or on the bus?
Do you remember these ideas or you should note that it does not look?
You note on a napkin at the restaurant, or save them to your phone?
Where and when come in your mind the best ideas?

Well for years now I have carried around with me a notepad and pen for moments when I receive inspiration, not just for mylot discussions but for anything such as titles for articles I am writing, or even sentences which work so perfectly for an article that I don’t want to forget them.
But back to mylot discussion ideas, I tend to get most of my ideas right at the end of the day when I am reading the paper and something will cause me to question what was being written about, as in I have an opposing opinion. That is when I get most of my ideas for a discussion, although often many of these don’t get started because there are similar ones already on here and there is no point in just duplicating what others have already started.

I don't start many discussions on mylot, but I'm a writer. The process is the same. I've learned over the years to never go anywhere without pen and paper. You just can't trust your memory. You may remember the gist of the idea, but that lightning bolt, that little stroke of genius may be lost on you if you don't write it down. I find the major difference between a Great Idea, or an o.k. idea, generally lies in the turn-of-phrase and timing. So, yeah, I always carry a notepad & pen in my pocket. I also keep one on my nightstand, and one in the bathroom because many of the details that push my projects along come to me in dreams or in the shower. I get a lot of great ideas when I go hiking or kayaking too. I think they come whenever we get the time to center ourselves. I try to take a little mental vacation everyday. Even if it's something mundane like going in the backyard and pulling weeds. Happy mylotting.

The best ideas usually come to me whilst mylotting, or sometimes whilst out somewhere. I haven't had any ideas, or rather I should say, I haven't thought about discussions in a while. I think usually I'd open my mind to the discussions and they'd flow in, but now I'd rather not discuss anymore until I can get it all under control (my discussions that is)... That might be quite some time as I am busy responding to people on the forums! Hope your having a wonderful day! Happy Mylotting!

I often find my best ideas come when I am somewhere different - so if I am outn of the office during the day... or in my car at night. Anytime I'm somewhere different to where I would expect to be.
BBecause of that I often don't have anything to note them down on.
I usually trying and repeat the idea to myself several times, and try to link it to something else so that I don't forget. This mostly works... but not always! I really must start to carry a pad around with me

Usually I will be doing something during the day and think of a discussion but I am alone all day and so I will write it down to post here later on.
If I have a few things, I save them up because there are days when I don't think of anything new.
I keep a word processor file with the ideas in and delete the idea if I use it.
If someone else already posts a discussion that I was going to use, I just delete it in my file.
That's a very good idea about putting them on your phone, I shall remember that next time I am out if I think of something to talk about.

This is a good question. All of my brilliant ideas come to me when I am laying in bed on a night. It often takes me a long time to get to sleep but because I am so warm and cosy in bed I don't want to have to get up and grab a pen and paper to write them down. I manage to convince myself that the wonderful idea is far to brilliant to ever forget but when I wake up the morning I rarely remember it.
I do have my mobile phone by the bed but I never thought of using it before to take a quick note, I will have to try that one next time I have a light bulb moment.

I have a little recording device in my mobile phone that I can use to record small discussion notes and ideas for MyLot, and for any of my other writing. It's a handy thing to have.

I just start to think when I need to.
I'm not really into it. Thinking what I want to post in mylot or sort.
I will be away from mylot for days and I will return and check if I have new message then just post what I think is good to be post.
I still have my 9 star even though I seldom post.
So its not really a big deal to me.
