Have you ever heard of this quote before? I'm not sure where it's from but it's intriguing.
There's Nothing To Fear but Fear itself. I heard this come out of someones mouth when I was shopping and it's been sticking with me ever since. It's like you don't do this because you fear it so all you have to do is fix the fear and you are able to do it. Or how would you interrupt this slogan. Or is there really a way to explain this saying.

In my study and walk with God I have learned that fear comes from the outside to take hold of us. And I have learned to not open the door to fear because fear is of the devil. The enemy is the author of fear.
Second Timothy 1:7 says For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love, and a sound mind.
God has not given you a spirit of fear.
I have a spirit of power that drives away fear.
That is how I would explain that slogan. Don't confess fear.

Thanks for that comment 3honor. I was really embarrassed about this thread. We really are taught this stuff in grade school. I hate to get all judgmental on people, but this is why we (Americans) look silly to the rest of the world.

This is a quote by FDR in 1933 (president Frankilin Delano Roosevelt), some credit the phrase to Winston Churchill, but I believe it was FDR that first said it. I've never heard it said about shopping, though I guess it probably could be applicable anywhere lol. My understanding of the phrase is that fear leads only to more fear, and overcoming the fear will lead to resolving an issue. Fear breeds more fear, and gets you nowhere, while challenging the fear and doing something about it lets you fix the problem as well as conquering the fear. Fear holds you back, and conquering it takes you forward.

i guess as what i know that theres nothing to fear but god himself
and whenever i think of it, i become strong in my day to day life. even when it comes to ghost lol. i live alone and i cant help but think of ghost sometimes. i just whisper the name of the lord and make a prayer before i sleep and i will be fine.
