Ellen on American Idol

Tonight was the first live show of American Idol. I watched and thought Ellen did a really good job. Simon even agreed with her thoughts concerning one of the contestants which says alot, I think. If you watched did you think Ellen did a good job or not?

Hi Lelin,
Yes, I watched AI last night. I think Ellen is fine and she'll be be fine for the rest of the show. She doesn't need to try hard to understand the technicalities of a good performance, she's not expected to do that, and that job is better left to the 3 judges. But Ellen will be best remembered for the light moments and comic relief infused in the show every now and then. I find the video showing Simon 'touching' Ellen's knee really funny, and Ellen's remarks were just hilarious

That video was quite funny. Having her there to break up the sometimes tense moments is very funny so it all good.

i haven't seen it yet cos I live in Australia but I love Ellen. She's so entertaining and so intelligent! She's not a show off- she has a good time and I can't wait to see her judge on Idol, even though I hate that show!

Well I wasn't going to watch this year but when I found out Ellen was going to be on that is when I decided to watch.

I haven't watch it yet but I always thought that she's going to do a good job. I like her show, she is so natural. I dont doubt her abilities. I think idol is not going to be the same without Paula Abdul but with Ellen around, I think she is also going to do a good job.
