Hello LOtters, Something wonderful has happened today but i will tell it with a good and bad news scenario. My mom's friend had his dog gave birth to seven puppies almost three months and he promised to give me one since they're already big. I was busy with playing games an hour wjem he came along and brought this cute little thing in his arms and hand it over to me. . i know it's normal to have a dog, it wasn't the first time though. He was afraid because my cat ponchi kept looking at him and scratch him when ever he accidentally get closed. some how my cousin's gf knew where his weakspots is and just touching his face. i did the same and like a BABY, he went to sleep by rubbing my fingers to his cute face. i just named him Ban-Joe (Banjo), unless you got a better name

Congratulation for being a new 'papa' to your newly acquired pet. I love dogs and I have 4 cute terriers that stay indoors with me.

hello zandi, how old are they? probably been with you for a long time. i hope you can help with some dog tricks or anything, i haven't got a single clue on how to teach them. yeah, i believe dogs are bit more hard to discipline than the independent cats

Hello Tamara, talk about wet kisses, banjo is a girl and it's only now that i have found out from my cousin and mom's friend. now, i don't know if i can still retain the name or just of another name besides the one that i gave now. she's fun to be with and the thing that me adore her is she cries when ever she needs me

Hello dawnald, I saw my elder cousin's girl friend touching the dogs face with her thumb or fingers and some how i felt i should do the same. of course, it only works if she is sleepy or tired.

i like pets also, especially dogs. but by this time, we can't have dogs as it will only add up to our sons health problem. we have a small aquarium with a few tiny fishes.i think banjo is so cute.

Hello neildc, awww, that's so sad. anyways, as long as the aquarium has oxygen tank, adequate food that will be just fine. yeah, regarding the dog, i was shocked when they told me that banjo is a GIRL

I gotta tell you at first when you said "sleep" I thought you meant you had to put him down. I was very happy to read your story. I did have a puppy who had parvo I had to put down so I was thinking of my sweet Spunky. Banjo is adorable and you will have a great bond with him. He will give you a lot of joy. Congrats on the first of many dogs you will have in your life. Like pringles once you have one you just can't stop. His face will get him out of a lot of trouble. Just like my Bandit.

Hello snoopy, I would never put a dog down, that's for sure, they're kind and nice animals, and better attention seekers than those cats. she likes to bite my paws and wants me to pat on her tummy, yes i made a mistake she's a girl i changed her name from Banjo to Jolen

Hello Cyrus, I don't know why i gave her that name but it's too late when i found out that it's a she. so, i decided to name her jolens instead. actually, she did sleep in my arms, i was like snuggling her like a real baby. it's something that i never experienced since my cat rsponse differently when ever i do that. so far, it has worked when ever i feel she needs to sleep.

Call him Shiver..(wala lang, epal lang). You know that is a great feeling to let the dog sleep beside you. It only means the dog trusted you already. Some puppies and dogs are not like that, you are very fortunate, you done it. Me, when my puppy was still a baby, that was September of 2008, I was the one who put him to sleep. He was crying everytime he was alone his crib(yes he have a crib). He lost his mother so we feed him milk and we give him care. We successfully make him grow and became a very big dog. I feel I am a mother to him. Its a great feeling, that is all I know.

Hello Grecy, how on earth did you know that she kept shivering here and there. at first i think she got shivers because my cat tends to scare her a lot more. i have made a small home at first they were both territorial but later tonight i saw it's improvign since they both are sleeping together.

Congrats, And adorable pic. But when I read your title, I was NOT happy, really thinking that you had to put your dog to sleep and sounding so happy in your opening sentence. Pheow! Wishing you many licks, hugs, snuggles, and woofs

Aww, nibling your toes. And oops, I meant at first I was unhappy thinking that you did put a dog to sleep, and then were talking about your new pup. Glad it was a happy ending with many happy years to come!

Aww, that is so sweet! I think the name Ban-Joe is great! I like names that are unusual and that one certainly is. I've never heard of any other dog (or cat) with that name. Quite unique! From the photo of the dog like yours, I'd say that name fits your puppy very well. I'm sure that Ban-Joe will learn just how close he can get to your cat without getting scratched very soon. Cats do tend to let us know when they are not happy. LOL I have two dogs and two cats. My dogs have learned when to back off from the cats. My biggest cat is over twice the size of my largest dog so the dogs don't try to push the cat. The cat sometimes likes to play with the dogs and he will let them know when it's time to play and time to stop.

Hello mentalward, I got a bad news to tell you, Banjo is a GIRL (what!) i was told again today since no one seems to complained on why i named her that way. my god, i haven't had a puppy for a long time and then along the way i didn't realize it was a girl. No wonder banjo sometimes cry because ponchi normally plays with his paws and teeth which she fears the most. i slept around three in the morning, she'll like a real Baby

Awww!! You are a new dad!! (LOL)! Aren’t puppies and kittens the cutest? It is impossible to resist one when it is handed to you...Congratulations for the new addition to your family! I’m sure your cat will get used to the puppy especially as he gets older; they may even become best friends! Enjoy your new friend...By the way, love the name!

Hello Paula, Yes, am a bit of a Dad, they are the cutest of them all. well, unfortunately, ponchi tends to slap to her face when ever they try to get close to each other. i hope they get along some day and play with each other. actually, ponchi is a male cat and jolen ( no longer banjo) is a female dog. sorry i had to change the name again.

I think "Banjo" is a cute name!! I never have thought of a name like that, myself. My daddy could always come up with some good names for animals. I never could think of anything, myself, lol. I think it's so sweet that he went to sleep in your arms after you rubbed his face!I'm sure you will enjoy many days with your new puppy. Congratulations! Kathy.

I noticed you called linlgi below "Cyrus", lol! That's all right. We all make mistakes. I bet you were embarassed when you found out your dog was a feamle, weren't you? It happens to all of us, though, so it's nothing to be ashamed of. It will be a good idea to have her spayed when she gets old enough if you don't want to deal with puppies. That is, unless you plan to breed her and sell puppies. She sounds like a very sweet dog! Kathy.

You got me worried there for a minute LetranKnight25, good thing the XD was at the end of the topic or I would be seriously scared of some bad news. What a cute story you have there! I haven't got a dog anymore, my parents still have dogs though. I like dogs but I am more of a cat person myself. I have had kittens who would curl up on my lap and fall asleep whilst I was stroking their bellies or faces, it's a very cute sight and it bonds you with your pet. I wish you lots of fun and play with your new buddy!

awww Congratulations on your new family member. I love dogs so much. I just got myself a puppy as well ans he's 3 months old. He's very naughty actually but i managed to teach him how to "SIT" on my command. I use dog biscuits to train him and reward him whenever he follows my order and now, i'm working on making him "STAY". Good luck on you puppy, I'm so sure you'll enjoy him a lot. And she's so cute.
