If someone told you, you only had one protein choice and you had to stick with that for a year what would you choose, meats any meat including poultry, seafood any and all seafood, or vegetarian proteins like soybean, tofu, beans and nuts. Which would you choose?

It would have to be meat.
I'm not into seafood at all, and definitely no tofu or the like for me!
You didn't tell us what your choice would be.

I wish someone would tell me i had to eat seafood for a year. Of course they would have to foot the bill. It's too expensive for my pocketbook except for once in a blue moon.

I'm a fan of all three. If I had to pick one for an entire year I would have to go with seafood. Meat can be kind of limited after awhile. Rich meats like lamb and beef can be overwhelming after awhile. Poultry and pork can be underwhelming. I could never stick to a strict vegetarian diet. It's fine occasionally, but we are talking about a year here. Seafood covers a lot of species. All things swimming. Think about it! That's my version of foodie heaven! Just like Tom Hanks in "Castaway." Except you're not really a castaway, and you have access to dental care. Did you see the all the weight he lost in that flick?! That's my style..."WILSON!" Sign me up.

It would be hard because I do like my seafood, but if I had to choose I think it would be more difficult to give up on meat. I eat meat most every night and usually only eat seafood once a week so it would be harder to give up the meat. Not to mention meat tastes so good and it is so satisfying. Nothing is as satisfying as meat.

Hi, thedaddym. I would choose meat. Because I could not eat seafood for a whole year. I don't like seafood like that. I only like plain fish. And I could not just eat on beans for a whole year either. I would end up craving for some meat. I know how I am. And that would not work for me. I am a meat eater.

I would definitely choose meat. I am not a big fan of seafood at all. I only like shrimp and tuna fish. I like nuts, but not enough to become a vegetarian. So, I would have to go with meat. I really enjoy eating most kinds of meat, especially chicken and steak!

I'm assuming a healthy dose of carbs and fruits/veggies and dairy are also permitted in this diet?
Then I would be caught between meat and seafood, but I would prefer a mix of all three :P life is so much more exciting with variety :)

It would have to be red meat. I love steak, hamburgers and all the things you can make with hamburger. Of course that would get boring after a while but at least I could make pasta and tacos if I had hamburger.
