Wow that's durable.

When I first got my cell phone (a sony ericsson), I treasured it like it was my baby, and made sure nothing sharp got within a 10cm radius of it. It felt so breakable! Then after a couple of months, I started getting careless with it, and more and more scratches appeared on its surface, but I didn't really care anymore. And recently, I dropped it multiple times and accidentally kicked against a wall, but it's still functioning perfectly fine. Is it just me, or are cell phones way more durable than they seem? Did your cell phone break when you dropped it, or is it a veteran like mine?

I usually buy LG phones and have had 2 since I started buying cellphones. An Lg flip phone that i forgot the full name for and the LG shine. On the Flip Phone the only hing that I broke was the glass in front of the camera. With the LG Shine, nothing is wrong with it even though im not careful of it at all.

My cell phone is real durable. I've had previous modles that if you dropped it hard enough it would pop out the battery. But, my current one you can't do that. I usually have to claw at it to get to the battery. I am funny like that, but I find it good that I have to do that. It simply means that the thing is strong and I can do a lot with it. duriability is nessery in mobile devices.

Wow, you got a good phone. Whenever I drop my phone, it opens up and the battery flies out. It still works, but I don't know for how long. My husband has the same phone and his is all scratched up, so he must be dropping it a lot. I think his will die first.

This is going back few years, may be around 5 - 6 years ago. I was working at a cell phone store at the time. This was right before Nextel & Sprint merged. I remember one Nextel phone that was really tough. Store I was working at was in a mall, 2nd floor. I remember Nextel rep. gave this one phone for store demo purpose. One day, I flung the phone across the mall, bounced 3 times on a concrete floor, roll down the stairs, slid across the floor, bounced off few walls. Co-worker at the time ran down-stairs, picked up the phone & called back to the store. Worked perfect. Then we took it outside & dropped it from the roof of the mall. The phone came apart & the battery door came off. Little clip that held the battery door was broken. And the antena was bent. We put it together with nothing but duct tape & called back to the store & it worked perfectly. I dropped kicked it & 3 other people played soccer with it for 2 and 1/2 hour with it & still worked perfect. On my way home, I dropped my cell phone, I had motorola v180 at the time, & it broke in 3 places. Never worked since. I dropped it when I was getting out of the car & it couldn't have been more than a foot or 1 1/2 feet off the ground. I have blackberry 9700 now. I also have "otter box" case around it. It's rubberized case. I dropped it twice in 3 month I had it & nothing's wrong with it. Works great.

well,..i am using cell phone since i was in high school, i guess year 2001..and i tried many different kinds. maybe i can say that, its up to a person who are using...if he cares,.it will long last and u can say, i guess its, durable . but if you are a careless one..for sure it will take a day, a week only to enjoy using....BUT..it depends also to brand or manufacturer of the said gadget.sometimes its one factor. Afterall,my point is,wether its just only a cellphone or an expensive one,.still,.you spent your money to buy it..and loosing it seems you wasted your money and threw it to a trashbim. for me, all things belong to me are worth and i value this even a simple one good day!!

I do try to take good care of my phone, since it is the only one i have. It has fallen on the lfoor but never got scratched at all, and it still owrks. My dog has knocked it on th efloor a couple of times, and I got upset when it hapened, but it never got damaged. I am so glad for that too. It is an lg phone with a touchxreen and it is a nice phone, even though it lacks a few features I wish it had, but I will be upgrading one of these days. Not sure what will be out there whne I am ready to upgrade. I am glad that I haven't damaged it, and I hope I don't Take care, and happy mylotting.

people often told me that the old school cell phone is the most durable one. Well the more I think about it, the more it's right according to me. But I have a theory about cell phone here. It felt like if we care too much for our cell phone, it may brake the first time we careless about it. But if we don't treasured it like a baby, it will be more durable more than we think so. Well, I am not recommending someone here, it's just another of my experiences.

Hi, I've used several products of NOKIA and other cell phones, but I found NOKIA provides the most hardy phones. For a number of occasions the phone dropped from my hand but it didn't break.

It seems to me that phones are either REALLY durable or REALLY weak, and I'm not just talking about type of phone, I'm talking about specific phone. I had a Xenon earlier, and the vibrate stopped working and screen broke just from walking around with it in my pocket next to some change. I got another one, and so far I've dropped it out my second story window (don't ask how), dropped it in the bath, lost it in a sandbox, and much much more, and it works perfectly! Some phones are just tanks I guess and others aren't really meant for the real world.

I dropped my phone of a ride in an amusement park. End of sentence. Thank God for first phones and people not peeling off the protective covers!

Most of the phones that i had are very durable.I was like that when I have a new phone and after a couple of months I also get careless with it.My first phone which is a motorola lasted for years and i was even able to give it to my brother before it eventually broke. My second phone is also durable, it is a Sony Ericson and it got lost when i went for my badminton game.My current phone is a Samsung Unit and so far no matter how many times it fell, it still is working perfectly :P

I always prefer NOKIA phone to any other. I did have SONY ERICSSON but it did not last. Soon I had trouble with it. I have seen people complaining about other brands as well. My phones fell to the ground quite often but nothing seem to happen to them. I have used several mobile phones in the past. I always changed them for a new model but never because they gave trouble. You are lucky to have SONY ERICSSON, which did not give you trouble until now.

My cell phone is very durable. It's been dropped, kicked, thrown, etc. but it keeps working (much to my chagrin; I want a new phone, but can't justify one, when the other one works just fine). However, my mom's phone, which is just like mine, didn't survive the puppies...
