Hi friends!
Allright, this time i have fad thinking again We are a socialized people right?! we need each other, but what happen if one day, when you wake up you found that there is no people around, everywhere, it was just you, like you are the one and the only in this world, what did you do then? Can you live alone? Or you might get crazy?

Hmmm... probably at first I'll be real shocked about it. Then probably will look around for anybody.. then will feel panicky. Then eventually I will just get used to it. I will try to survive alone until I can no longer survive. Of course, I still prefer to have those special ones with me.
This is kinda the same concept of that Will Smith movie.

That's good describing I am legend ... isn't it a horor movie, that everyones become a zombie?? well a little bit different since you have to run from them, but it's quite different if you really live alone in the world without anything chasing you

I can happily live alone. It'd be pretty baffling...and considering who'd disappear, I might be a bit upset...so I'd have a sort of quest to occupy my time. But for the most part, it's not really stressful that there are no people around.
I'd probably have to migrate to a warmer area, considering there'd be no people to keep the electricity going...but yeah.
I don't think I'd go too crazy.

Hi xParanoiax!
Your thought is also different from others , so you are the type of the nonchalant person that didn't care with the things that you didn't think as a big deal, pretty unique

I'm a people person. I grew up with my two sisters and mother and father and I was and still am very close to my family, and I think that its because I growing up with someone always around me weather it was my sisters or parent I cant be completely alone all the time, I'm use to feeling the energy of someone I care for around me, its not in my nature to be alone.
I feel most comfortable having a friend or family member close by or with me. I would feel a bit strange not having at least a friend close, I'm not a loner type person, meaning a person who is withdrawn from others and prefers to be along all the time, a person who is constantly looking for opportunity's to separate themselves from others, thats just not me. now I'm not saying that I dont enjoy having a little alone time, because I do enjoy having some independence and peace and quite, but most of the time I prefer to have someone around to chat with and interact with. I think life is about the people you meet family and having different general experiences love and learning, not separation and solitude. so if we one day woke up and all the people in the world was gone and was the only one left I would deal with it I guess but I would be really depressed after a bit of time had past I definitely would not like that at all.

Hi apples99!
I'm wondering
What happen if you taking a vacation sometimes without your family member around, for examples go out of country for a long enough times? Did you still miss them or did you think it's just temporarily and move on enjoy your vacation?

If I take a vacation I would bring at least one friend because to me vacations are more fun with friends and much safer too. these days people turn up missing at alarming rates, so I think I'd bring a girl friend or sister with me to share the fun being alone on a vaction isent always safe.

Since i am used to live with people surrounding me everyday, i think it's quite difficult to live a day alone. Although sometimes, i ever live alone most of the time before, during my exam time, but it was for a few hours only. If you ask me to live alone forever without anyone to talk with me, i think it's hard to accept it. We are modern human which we can't adapt ourselves to stay or do things alone. I think we can gone crazy if no one to talk to us forever.

Hi,
To change is human. When you find yourself alone and see there is no one else, means that you are free. You can do anything you like to.Don't say you are going to build a castle all by yourself but definitely you can build a small castle by the side of a seashore.Loneliness is all about the interpretation of your mind.Whenever you are forced to face a situation that you don't like to cope up,will turn out to be a nice place for you if properly taken care of your mind.So Loneliness is just a concept. What we want is a person who can touch the same cord which is again a concept which is superimposed upon the person we love. It's your mind that makes you think something in some way for a period of time and again it shows you the other side in some other time for the same event.

Mmm ... i wonder if it's only me in this world, doesn't it mean that i have it all, everything in this world? so i didn't need any castle anymore, i have lots of it scattered all over the world by the way so you wanna say it that you can live alone?

I'd rather die than live alone. Living alone is so boring that you might have an imaginary friend when that happens and its not healthy. I can live alone when it comes to being independent because you'll have time to do some task on your own. But in a matter of time we still need a companion or someone to talk to every now and then especially our family.

Hi sether7!
Did loneliness kill you or lives alone? After reading so much reply, i make a little conclusion, that most of our friends answer is a loneliness which is get bored that "kill" them, so it's not the real alone in situation

I think I would be able to live alone if I had to. But I wouldn't like it. I agree that we are basically social by nature, and I think living alone must be quite hard. But if I were the only person around, I would go crazy with loneliness and solitude.

Hi maxilimian and all mylotters online! Speaking for myself alone, this is one of my greatest fears in life, which is to wake up one day all by myself, without my loved ones and fellow human beings around. I'm pretty sure that I will go nuts the moment I wake up and found myself in this kind of situation. As we all know, the Bible tells us that God created Eve after Adam when He saw that Adam's life was so miserable without someone to live with. This explains why it is not man's nature to live all by himself, and that "No man is an island."

Hello Maxilimian! I agree with you that we are social people and I think even the most antisocial person I know would freak out if no one else is around anymore.
In my opinion sometimes I like lonelyness but most of the time I really enjoy being with people. If everyone dissapears I think I'll be ok for a while. But then I'll be like Will Smith in "I am legend". Speaking with manicans and relating more with animals.
Maybe If there was no one in my city, I'll be happy in having to crash in stores and taking whatever I want! But through time, everything might change!
Well, I guess that's what would happen. Have a nice day, Libna.

I think you must watch the movies I am legend by Will Smith and Cast away by Tom hanks, it will be a really unbearable time for me, though Will has a dog with him and Tom got a ballman around. I think maybe i could live alone with no people, but it must be very hard.

I would probably become the best stone skipper the world had ever known, or unknown as the case since I would be the only one. I think eventually you would enter a state of Buddhist enlightenment. With no one else in the world your time for meditation would be limitless. The conclusion I believe you would reach in such a state is the need to lose your clothing, find a pencil, as well as notebook, locate the nearest beach, and make sure to encounter a package store on your way there so you can mix up a Pina Colada or two once you get there and start writing the novel you have always wanted to but could not find the time. We are indeed socialized people but innovative as well. I am sure that everyone has one thing that they would love to do but feel that they cannot in social society. With no one else on the planet you could finally divulge in your guiltiest of pleasures.

I don;t think I can live in this world alone. No man is an island. The point is even if we wake up alone in a world plenty of basic life necessities, we still need people to spend our lives with. We cannot live alone, it'll make me crazy!

Great question..maxi..but it is hard to answer without it being a bit more definitive. Are you asking, can you live alone..without ANY human contact, stimulus..or input! No Internet, No T.V....no Radio or Telephone or will you have these options, including books. I love being alone, I am comfortable in my own skin..and other than visits (few) from my son and the occasional neighbour, I am not a social insect. Seldom, do I go out...realistically, the last time socially, Dec. 6! I have lived alone for 13 years, and can honestly say; I prefer the company of my pets, and Mother Nature's children. Been there, done that..I like this peaceful life better. Take care & Cheers!

Maxi...you need two best friends...to live alone happily. Learn to love yourself with all your shortcomings and pitfalls~~~and then you will be your own best friend,....and learn to love Mother Nature in all aspects...even the niggly little ants...etc., as they all have a purpose here. You will, then be at peace within, and find that you are not wholly dependent on the stimulus of other humans! They will be an embellishment to your life...not a necessity. Take care & Cheers!

Thot I shud add something here.......there is a HUGE difference between being "ANTISOCIAL"....and being alone. One can truly enjoy being alone...but that doesn't mean they are anti=social!

Hi friend!
I think I need not live anymore if I would be just all alone. My goodness that would be very boring! Indeed there are times I would prefer to be alone but to live alone all the time would be a big torture. I would rather just die than be alone in this world.

I cannot live alone because i need my parents and my brother around me. I feel very much bored when they are not around me. At home i need my parents and my brother and out side i need my friends who are always with me. Hence i cannot be alone.
