hi! I have also never been to Chine, but as i know from the TV and the newspapers and the magazines that I read, it is one really great country, the most populated one, with a very cool language, very melodious. I know that there is forbidden to have more than one kid, well not forbidden, but it is recommended, because of the high population. I really want to go there, to see the people and meet their culture. I know Chinese are very friendly people!

Although I have never been to China, I've always wanted to visit! Obviously, China possesses some of the hardest workers because here in America so many things are imported from China. I'm sure the people have a great work ethic there. I picture China as a place where there is always something going on, there are always people being productive. Would you say so? I hope that some day I will get to visit!

You are right.Becuase the pay of some people who produce goods in China is not very high so the goods's price also will be some other country just like yours America,it is lead to the government of other country always import things from China in a relatively low price. It is all I know about it.I am grateful hear from you that you would like to visit China.I believe you would like the story here.Thank you for your discussion my friend!

I have never been there but know that China is an ancient country whose culture is mysterious. China is a beautiful country and it is the fourth largest country in the world. Red is considered a lucky color in China. At one time wedding dresses were red.You know Ice cream was invented in China around 2000BC when the Chinese packed a soft milk and rice mixture in the snow. Also, the Chinese year is based on the cycles of the moon. This is called a lunar schedule. A complete cycle of the Chinese calendar takes 60 years. The Chinese calendar dates back to 2600 B.C. It is the oldest known calendar.

While I'd love to visit many countries, to include China, I doubt that I ever will because I'm retired and my finances are tight (if I want to keep my home). Until I visit China, unfortunately, my view of China is mixed. I'm sure the people of China are wonderful, but I'm not too crazy about China's government. From pictures I've seen, the landscape is beautiful, but the pollution is horrendous. So you see, I have mixed feelings. If I won a trip, I'd be on the plane this afternoon, and after the trip, I'd give you a real accounting. I think my country, USA, has it's faults (e.g., it's government stinks right now), but it's one of the best places in the world to live.

HAHA...well,different people have different opinions.I am delight to hear the praise you made about Chinese landscape and people. In the case of the government,I should comment objectively that it has its advantages and also shortcomings somewhere...I think I'm not good at politics after all...LOL
I don't know much about the government of America at present but I think Obama is a good president(maybe it's not true and it just my opinion) but I know from the newspaper that many American object him, said he is a "yokel",I just wonder why.
Thank you for your discussion my friend!

To the honest,I'm sure you'll have a different opinion,if you live in china more than 20years like me.the price of apartment as expensive as $2000per squareM. But,most chinese can't earn $500 in a mounth.

Obviously, the more excellent people did in their work, the larger pay people will get,so the more expensive house poeple will buy and the more luxurious the life will be.
And also, the price of department will be different in the different city, the average of salary will be larger at the place where's land price is higher.
All in all, what I want to say is how nice you house is depends on how much you earn,so don't complain about lack of money and the price is high, just think about that is all about one's value. Why are they rich people bought big house?
By the way,You are 20 and I'm 18 this year, maybe it not much difference.
Anyway,thank you for your discussion,friend.

I have never been to china but after knowing things about the country from books and TV channels the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of China is the large geographical area that it has. Then I think of the history and its culture which is very old. But the best thing that I like is the natural beauty that it has.

You are right!I am proud of the scenic landscape of our country and the colorful custom from ethnic groups. While the openness China have been making from about 30 year ago,the culture of China has merged some other country's culture for the close transact with the world.Thank you for your discussion my friend!

While more and more development China has been making, the interact between China and the world has becoming closer and closer. So we can see lots of Chinese are going abroad to open their eyes, see the world, know others...In terms of the produce I think maybe the fake goods you mentioned is just some illegal producer made and it didn't through the national check and by a illegal way to be sent to other country. The government is now take measures to restrain this phenomenon.Every country has a long way to go so China is try its utter to improve its deficiencese.Thank you for your discussion!

I would like to travel to China one day. The cusine from there is quite popular here and I do not miss Kylie Kwong's My China. I was amused in the beginning to learn a cusine whihc is solely made on sauces..And that is the secret behind chinese peole's long life.
Only today I read 'Denis the menace' quotes about China. He was playing with his toys and says...if every thing is made in China, I suppose God live there!!!

No, I haven't been to China but we have studied the country in Asian Literature and we have a number of Chinese communities in our country. There are so many Chinese in our place in fact, we have Chinese schools here and Chinese churches. In a way, I can say that they have a great influence on our culture. I think they are hardworking and very family-oriented. However, as a country, I think China is just too pushy. It wants to reach full development quickly and the result is sub-standard items which they manufacture and sell to the global market. I think it is also trying to isolate itself from outside influences and this is not good. It needs to have good relations with other countries through the internet and other means in order to truly develop into a great nation.

Well, maybe the sub-standard goods you mentioned is made by some illegal producer in order to seek excessive profit so they didn't through the national check and sent to other place by an illegal way.The government have been taking measures to restrain this phenomenon which will be hard task.
And the other problem you mentioned is about Chinese openness. As we can see,the 29th Olimpic Games, the Expo which will be holding this year in Shanghai, the Asian Games which will be hold this summer in Guangzhou, and so many activities China has been taking part in actively in the past three decades,I believe that China has try her best to participate in the affairs ang discussions of the world now.Every country has their long way to go so China will improve her deficiencise to her utter. And how do you think?
So I am thankful to hear from your great advice then hope our respective country has a glorier future.Thank you for your discussion my friend!

I haven't yet been to China as yet but I have been to Hong Kong. I liked it there very much indeed. I would like to go to Beijing on the train all the way from Russia. The history in China would appeal to me. I would enjoy seeing the countryside and the coast. I live in England which is part of the United Kingdom. It is a small country and it has a large population. It has an interesting history and some lovely looking buildings. I like its countryside and coastline. London is the capital city of England and it is full of sights to see like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

I have heard that the United Kingdom has a long history as well so when I was a child I was dream to go there to have a look,to acquire the long history and culture,to enjoy the dainty scenery there. And you said you have been to Hongkong but not China...haha...I believe that Hongkong is a necessary part of China, isn't it?So maybe you can say "I have been to China already".As you mentioned Beijing, it is one of the places I like most in our country for its nostalgic old feeling from some of its ancient wall, ancient alley......Thank you for your discussion my friend!
