Hi all, i am sure we have all gone through exam stress and some maybe going throug it now. let this discussion helps us all in how we can deal with exam stress. as for me one way i try to calm myself down is to take a deep breath before my paper and say a small prayer. I am not sure if it has be effective or not, but somehow i feel it does make me feel alittle better. So how else do you deal with exam stress?

well i study in short intervals..
i respected time management but often i am easily swayed away from this..
but i try to relax myself during studies before exams and study with concentration and reassure myself that ALL IS WELL. and in the end everything turns out well quite well...

For me, I make sure I start preparing for my exams at least 3 months earlier. Knowing that I've plenty of time, that definitely cuts down the stress by lots. I normally study with my buddy, and we will quiz each other often. The week before the exam, I would have already done all the necessary preparation work. This will be the week that I relax myself more by listening to soothing music, or going to the park for strolls. Of course, all these don't guarantee fantastic results, but at least I pass the exam with minimum stress, and no need to burn midnight oils.

Before the exam half day for instance, I let
my brain rest for a while so that in the exam proper
I can easily recall all those things I've studied.
It is true to have a deep breath also and prayer is the
most key to do first before putting into action.
When I still study or cramming the result is different.
As I will recall it , I've been confused of the things
not cleared to me. Better study in advance so that you
can have a relax before the exam date.

oh it may sound funny but whenever i feel crammed about my exams, i gather all my books around my bed and sleep in it. through that i will have a dream about our exams and it feels like i am reviewing for my lessons even when im asleep. it is not effective at all times but it relieves my tension as i laugh at myself, thinking what on earth am i doing. im such a weird guy.

I pretty much prepare myself for an exam like you do. I also say a little prayer and even ask my mom and siblings to pray for me. I've gotten pretty used to university pressure, so handling stress is not as hard as it was before when I was still a freshman.

The only way I could relieve exam stress was to study and study again. I always read everything, marking the book with a yellow highlighter for items I thought would be on the exam (which was usually the entire chapter/book the first go around). Then a couple of days before the exam, I would read everything I had marked with yellow highlighter and bracket the highlighted areas I was real sure were going to be on the test with a black ink pen. The day before the test, I reread my bracketed information. By the time I got done, I could almost tell you the page number the answers were on... It worked. I was a straight A student. Being prepared really relieves the most stress.

I think the way one manages the exam stress teaches one a great lesson. For some exam is like a do or doe thing. As per me, my approach to exams were pretty simple, I used to stop studying day before exams because if you keep studying continuously you will lose confidence. So my advice is that don't take exams that much seriously.

I usually indulge in comfort food like chocolate and ice cream. Sometimes I eat an extra slice of pizza if I feel like I'm to stressed for the exams. When I had to take the nursing board exams, me and my room mates tend to relive the stress and anxiety by holding parties which is preluded by mani/pedi session..

Taking a long breath works well with me. But what makes me more relaxed is to find my friends showing their frustrated faces during the exams. Boy, how I love that, not to mention that I'm frustrated as well. But keep it elegant is my way.

Whenever I take exams, I made sure I reviewed the content even if it's just a small quiz. I don't like the feeling of taking an exam I'm not prepared, it causes me anxiety. To prevent this, I read my notes beforehand, trust myself to do well, say a little prayer and take a deep breath before I read the first question. After a tough exam, I also make sure to reward myself like eating something I like or doing my favorite activities like shopping or watching a movie. It helps me relieve the stress that is brought by exams. I made sure I pamper myself after a hard work. ;)

I just try to divert my attention from the impending exam and try to think about other things in life.At the same time I like to be a bit of a philosopher and think about other worldly or celestial things.Another thing that I do is to chat with my friends about a variety of topics except the examination.I also try to pacify all the celestial Gods and Goddesses by giving alms to poor people and try not to be rude to anyone.I always keep one thing in mind that no stress is experienced by the guy who knows everything and also the guy who knows nothing.Stress is only experienced by those who are walking down the middle path.I always tell myself that I don't know anything so there is no need to get stressed.

I guess the best way to stay as far away from exam stress as possible is to be prepared for it, physically, intellectually, emotionally, etc. I mean, wouldn't it be better if you knew you've got everything covered and ready to ace the exams plus you've got a good night sleep and a healthy and delicious breakfast to top it with. then, of course the most important tool, a short prayer before any exams. I miss the days I wasin this situation. Now adays, I just find myself notcaring and feeling low and stressed every exam, not tomention, forgetting to give a short prayer before the exams. If there was a prayer fromme it would be a prayer to cancel the exams or somehow postpone it.

When it comes down to the exam, I just jump right in. I feel if I do not know it by the time I get into the classroom, trying to cram or stress over it won't do any good. I actually should be studying for exam now instead of being on the computer.

hi! the day before exam, after compliance with the duties as a student, i listen to feel-good music, eat light and more on fruits as i consider them food for the brain, hehe. breathe slowly and go to sleep early. exam day- relax, breathe, just try to recall each topic i've read. right after the exam, i go to spa for a nice massage (my favorite reward for a stress!) and watch feel-good movie. no heavy thinking. of course, i believe in the power of prayer and so i do it anytime, everywhere. :)

Well i study at short intervals, take breaks and listen to music while studying sometimes. In the exams i try to keep my temperament and reassure myself i will do good. In the end everything turns out well.

When I have an exam the next day I usually get study on and off for a couple of hours and then make sure I go to bed at a reasonable time. Then I wake up a couple of hours before my exam and I go running, jogging or walking just to help wake my body up and get some extra exercise. I then have a good breakfast nothing too greasy and usually drink water. Then I go into my exam with the expectation that I know the material and I should do well on the exam. This is what I do to prepare. It may seem a little overboard to some people but it helps my day get started and helps feel better.
