I LOVE the 80's. I liked alot of the bands/singers. Motley Crue, Duran Duran, Whitesnake, Rick Springfield, Poison; the list goes on and on. If I had to pick just one.... Motley Crue.

U2 was my favorite, and still is a band that I love. They have continued to be a strong force in the music biz and put on a killer live show too! They have always been one of my inspirations.

I agree with you on U2. The music and the attention they bring to the problems of our world is great.

Eurythmics - Record cover of the Eurythmics
If Europe, Eurythmics or America were in the 80's then I would choose them. My favorite bands were those in the Big Band Era....Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey,Les Elgart, Skip Henderson, and so on and so forth. I'm just not hip on 80% of the music nowadays. I've been out to pasture and need soothing music.

Sometimes I think that there should be a revival of the big bands but I'm afraid it would be a bust because it is too calm in comparison with today's music.

THE SMITHS!!! :) The Cockroaches, too. --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. I think it's such a shame that she became so influential to very small children." -- MORRISSEY --- --- ---

OMG there were so many..it's hard to choose. If I had to choose just one..I would have to say MOTLEY CRUE. I spent the night outside in the freezing cold to get tickets to their show when I was 16. It was awesome!!

I went to see Motley Crue and White Snake. We sat to the side of the stage and were so close you could see the detail in their tattoos. What a noise!!! I still have tinitus from it.

My absolute favorite was Phil Collins and Genesis. I was a Michael Jackson fan! Loved his music videos and his dancing! Others I thought were pretty cool were Cyndi Lauper,Eurythmics, Hewey Lewis and the news, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac. When was Steve Perry popular? I loved him.
