Admitting you are sleeping?

Anyone else know one who can't admit they are sleeping?
My hubby foresure falls into this category. Like this afternoon he's laying down watching NASCAR. The girls put up a tent infront of the tv and he hollers at them some time later to take it down. Mind you his eyes have been closed pretty much since he laid down on the couch. So then I go downstairs to toss my load into the washer. And since he's "awake" I come back up and ask him who won? I thought I'd have enough time to get back to see the last lap or two. Missed it.... so did he! *LOL* But he's "awake" for the last 3 hours eyes closed and all the only thing missing this time is the snoring! *LMAO* Funny I thought when I mentioned they had 14 laps left he'd perk up... nope
My oldest did this the other day too. She fell asleep in her bean bag chair after a busy day out w/ her great Aunt. Well I ask her to wake up cause we had to go somewhere soon & she sat up & informed me in a harsh voice she was not asleep!! SO I go back in the kitchen to finish dinner & back asleep she was.
Anyone else know someone who can't admit they are sleeping?

OMG! That seriously gave me a flashback! Hehehehehe! My Grandpa and my dad always used that "just resting my eyes" answer all the time when they got busted falling asleep!

My 3 year old gets really really mad if you "accuse" her of sleeping! Sometimes when we go on truck rides or if she's had a busy day she will fall asleep in the truck, on the couch, or sometimes she will even go to her room and fall asleep on her bed, but she is NOT sleeping! My hubby makes a joke out of it and so do I if we get busted sleeping or falling asleep!

I dunno I know I'm cranky if I don't get enough sleep. But that's after not sleeping well during the night not cause I'm tired and fighting it.

My son was just here for a short visit and insisted we watch Wall-E, which I had recorded months ago when it was free but I never watched it. It was a boring film for me and I looked over and he was asleep!! He slept for an hour or so before I woke him up and told him to go up to bed. He insisted he hadn't been sleeping! However, he took my word that I had watched the whole movie even though I'd been washing dishes, dusting and other stuff. My ex, on the other hand, had no problems admitting he'd been sleeping--the couch was his favorite place for frequent naps!

Yeah that's usually when I get the grouchy hubby is when I tell him to go to bed. I just get a blanket and cover him up and let him be. He can figure it out himself. Hubby didn't get up til 3am from his "nap".... Hmmmm.....
I like to quiz him & ask what did this or that person on tv just say or one of the kids if he's soooo awake... sadly he knows once in a while

My husband will not admit when he is falling asleep, but once he is asleep he stops trying to deny it.

My mums partner is one of those people that say that they were not asleep when he was snoring loudly sitting up in the chair. My dad used to say that he was a wake and was watching the tv everytime me and my brother used to turn the tv over,i think that with us turning the tv over that used to wake him up if the truth was to be known.

Yeah I've done that too where we'd change the channel and he'd wake up long enough to inform us that the race wasn't over & to turn the channel back

The only time I do is if I'm not feeling very well I do that sleeping w/ one eye open bit but w/ having small kids you can't do that either. Oh well....
Hubby gets cranky about it. Ya know he's still sleeping almost 4hrs now he'll probably make it thru most of the night. He has his hardest time his first day off of work & that is today. Oh well there's always tomorrow to give him grief about it

It bothers me when people fight sleep, its not something your suppose to do and I try not to do it, the only time you should do that, is when you are at work or doing something important like driving. But I see people fall asleep watching movies all the time and I don't know how.
