i wont respond to a discussion based on the length of the discussion and all . if i like the discussion i will surely respond to it . ya many may not respond to those kind of discussions since they wont be so patient o read all the stuff and then respond to them. but i will respond to those kind of discussions if i like them .

hi there, i am lazy to read through large posts but yeah if the header catches my attention then i am certainly going to read the whole thing and respond to it, even i have started some really long discussions, and i have seen the responses are also lesser but yeah that is a common thing, larger post discussion sometimes does get few responses, most of us don't have much time or don't spend much time reading through something big, time is the factor i guess, good day.

If the topic of a discussion interests me then I will respond to it regardless of how long it is or how many responses it has already received. If Ifeel that I can add something to it it then I will. I often find that a discussion with a lengthy topic offers the chance to respond with a long response and as I am aware that the more we type the more our earnings increase, I am happy to write a lot in one place rather than responding on several discussions with many shorter responses. If the user who started the lengthy topic is also one that I know usually comes back and comments on the responses, then for me that is even more reason to respond on it if I can relate to it.

I do respond to lengthy discussions. It is very difficult to find an interesting discussion, these days. We have discussed a lot of topics already and we are not supposed to create the same discussions. It is a risk, but leads to more creative discussions, at times. I am an active member of Mylot for the past one year. It is broing for me to respond to the same topic. I am always checking for new and interesting discussions.

Well, I do read and respond to discussions if I find the topic interesting. I do not bother if the discussion is very lengthy or not. Some people may not reviews such lengthy discussions may be coz of lack of time. They want to finish off maximum number of responses within a short span.

hey thunderbala! :) i usually dont respond to lengthy discussions cz i dont have the patience to read them and respond to it. i think everyone is very busy with their lives, having various tasks to do so they would have a fixed time to be online in which they would like to do the max work!

Well discussion length doesn’t bother me rather than the actual subject matter. So if I come across a discussion which has a longer opening question than others then I will plough through it and then respond, although if it ends up being a rambling incoherent discussion which fails to pose a question then I may clear off. I think the trouble is that some people here are not interested in spending time reading a well worded and lengthy discussion because they are in so much of a rush to respond to enough discussions to meet their self imposed quotas to earn X amount of money. It’s the same reason why the majority of the responses are just a few lines because some members just want to do the minimum and move on. Of course there is the element of a discussion being visually constructed in such a poor manner that it makes a chore to work through. It’s proven that we read on the screen differently to how we read from traditional print and so it is more beneficial to break up those lengthy discussions into small easily manageable chunks assisting the reader in keeping their place while reading.

I think the reason for this is because its alot to read. I will start to read a long discussion if its interesting. However, many of them I can't make sense of what someone is trying to say. It may be something that I can't respond to because I don't have the knowledge pertaining to the subject, or that I just don't find it interesting. If its grabs me I will read the entire discussion and then reply to it.

Yes, I do respond to lengthy ones if it a topic I am interested in posting to. The lengthy ones to me, go in depth into the discussion, whcih really in a way helps me to come up with a longer response. I do respond to shorter ones too, like this one as long as I have something to say. I have seen a lot of one line discussions lately that to me aren't really discussions, have no substqance, and aren't worth taking the time to respond to. I personally like well thought out discussions. It really lets me know the user took the time to really think about what they wanted to post before they did it. As long as a discussion is interesting and not a one liner, I will respond. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

maybe they just become carried way with their story thats why it took their message that long to explain further. eve me, as im typing i didnt realized that my content is already long as i was just busy explaining and telling my story about it. if the topic interest me then i read them trying to appreciate those who share their story here in mylot.

If I am interested in discussion's topic i will try to participate and offer my views on it. However if every thing that i want to say, has been said by others who have already participated in discussions, and i feel i have nothing more to add, i will skip the discussion.
