Oh to turn back the clock.....

Most days i get up and feel fine, but there are those days i wish i was younger again. I'd change alot of things i did and relive them hopefully better the second time around. First thing I'd do is not believe anything my Parents said to me. Fear of what might happen is no way to make the child or me,do anything like what would happen if i went out with a boy on a date. Scaring someone into not doing something isn't right. Missing my youngest daughter and grandson doesn't help the way i'm feeling either. Finally got her in a rehab and she got to take the baby with her but its been a month since i've seen them and i feel empty from their absence. Well got you all up to date on myself and hope everyone's fine... What exciting news has happened to you?

Rosekitty hi hatley here where have you been? nice you are here.I have often wished i cou ld turn back the clock myself, after what my son and i went thru the past two years I wou ld love to turn back the clock three years and get myson to guit the job that was proving awful and get into a better computer programming job. but he did not and they cut back his wages then as they were almost qoing under they laid him off now a t the worst time in our history for years. we got evicted were homeless then he got me put here so I wou ld have someplace to live and he got a govsponsored apt with three other men all of whom are still looking for work. three years ago there were jobs galore and he kept talking about changing jobs and kept putting it off til it was too late and the economy had done a quick change for sure. I hope your youngest daughter is doing well now and its good she has herbaby. hope now all goes well with you. you have been here at mylot awhile too have you not?

I think I know how you're feeling. I've often wished I could change things. My own children have suffered from my decisions, their lives might be so much better if I'd done things differently. Then again, maybe not. You did the best you could with what you had and that's all that you can do. Don't beat yourself up! Sure, maybe things might have been different--woulda, coulda, shoulda are the most destructive words we know. I was glad to see your name in my inbox, I haven't seen anything from you in quite some time. Think about the good times, all the precious moments you had with your daughter and grandson. They will get through this.

Well let's see......tomorrow I consult with a lawyer because my ex is suing me to have our 20 year old Child Support Order overturned so he can keep his damn boat license which he could lose for non payment of said support. So I'd like to turn the clock back 30 years and shoot him before all this starts....... Today the hubs came home without a job. So I'd like to turn the clock back 2 years and run over his ex-box with the truck that make him so damn much money thanks to my hubs over the past two years. The other day I had a rather unsettling convo with my twin brother, so I'd like to turn back the clock 57 years so I can use our time in the womb to kick some damn sense into his head. Need I go on? Know how you feel sweets, and thanks for the opportunity to vent! LOL

Shitandshinola, that should read 'ex-boss' not 'ex-box'. LOL Can you tell I'm just a wee bit ticked? lol

There are some things I might do differently the second time around. Still, we'd be thinking with the same aged brain we had then and maybe we'd do the same things again. I do know what you mean though. It's awful to have regrets and I'm sure we all do. I really hope your daughter does well and you get to see her and your grandson soon.

I am glad that your daughter is into rehab. I hope that she comes clean out of rehab and stays clean for the rest of her life. I know that not seeing them for a month seems long such as a whole year. Nothing exciting is happening in my life right now. I am facing daily routine. the only positive thing in my life is that I am looking forward to have another puppy.

Good to see you Rosie. I've just been bumbling about in my usual aimless and non-productive way. I'm pleased that your daughter has her son with her and can understand how you'd be missing them. My daughter's in the US now and we are looking forward to May when she's due back home again. Take care. XX

If I could go back I doubt that I would change anything. Sure there were some major errors there but they brought me to where I am and I can't complain about that I hope you get to see your daughter and grandson soon

I have days like that too, I think everybody has them at times. I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I never left Germany. Other than that I'm pretty OK with my Life. Like you I do wish I was about 10 years younger. Other than that everything is good and I'm running late for work. Bye now and take good care of yourself

Often I think about how wonderful it would be if I can go back to my childhood. I would do many, many things. But then again, I guess that proves how weak I am and I guess if anyone thinks to go back to the past, they need to toughen up, embrace themselves, and keep going. That's how you live in this world.

i also had moments on where i hope that one day ill get up and relive my childhood and teenager days where you used to spend with important people of your life but reality bites and what we can do is to relive the memories in any way we can...
