Wow... This brings back memories. I remember the Partridge family really well. It was always interesting seeing them in the Bus, and the Peacock. It is interesting when you see them all grown up and what some of them have done with their lives. This was Good TV back then.

A friend of mine gave me a CD of their greatest hits; I have to say I'm not too keen on their music. However, David Cassidy on his own released some minor Pop classics in his heydey, including "I am a Clown", "Daydreamer", "If I didn't Care"; but my all-time favourite was "How Can I Be Sure". I wasn't a fan as such (I was into Glam Rock), but when I was 17, I admired him, and wanted to be a superstar just like him.

I have fond memories of him and his smile. I was only 13 mind you.

In Britain, his idolisation was arguably unmatched in intensity since the heydey of the Beatles. I seriously don't think that there has been such a level of adulation directed at a musical star since in this country. In the end, understandably it became too much for him and he quit while still at the top of his game. He's still singing, still working; and reflecting on the hurricane of hero worship he once engendered.

I remember him, my sister had a David Cassidy lunch box! It was kinda silly, she set it on the stove one day and burned his face. I had a major crush on leif garret. OMG, I saw him the other day on that weight loss reality show, he is a hog. I feel better, I gained less weight than he did. :)

A lunch box! I bet if she had that now it would bring a pretty penny. She is probably kicking herself for leaving it on the stove!

Yes, I loved all of their music! and I loved the show. Watched them all and was disappointed when they went off the air.

Ah yes, the Friday night TV line-up. The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family and then Love American Style. Yes, I loved Donny Osmond too and later Shaun Cassidy and Scott Baio. Danny Bonaduce? That guy has turned crazy. He was on Dr. Phil this week. They are actually friends - maybe acquaintances is a better word - but for five years! If they've been friends for 5 years, how come he hasn't helped him straighten out?
I believe David Cassidy is doing a lot of producing these days, though still records an album once in awhile. I saw him live waaaaaaay back in Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat. This was decades before Donny Osmond did it.

I certainly do, and he was recently on a talk show here in Australia a short while back, and he really has not aged! "Danny" has also been recently on a show here, and he has got better with age I think!

Yes I used to watch the partridge family here in Australia and also thought David Cassidy was pretty hot. Danny Bonaducce has his own show on pay TV here at the moment. He definately needs a bit of anger management I think. Blames most of his troubles on being on Partridge family from what I can work out...

Yup, the words are also in my memory.
:)
BUT - Donny Osmond was my childhood idol at that time. My sister liked many of that era - Beatles, Bobby Sherman, Jackson5, Alias Smith and Jones - and I stuck to one.....Donny.

I had a full-length poster of Bobby Sherman hanging on my wall. I was 11 years old.

I just got back from seeing him in concert at The Mentor Performing Arts Center from 7pm -9pm with a wonderful encore that a roaring crowd stomping their feet and chanting david . . . brought him out to sing a song his dad Jack Cassidy used to sing when david was just a child of three or four.
His different versions of "I Think I Love You" are what people seek in diversifying his old Partridge days. Rather than forgetting them with a bitter taste in his mouth, it feels as if David has put the 'keith curse' behind him and embraced the song-writing capacity of the character and developed it more fully, more personally.
He is still hot at a tender age of 57 and really is an outstanding performer who captures the audience with that magnetic smile and infectious personality. I was in 7th heaven !

I do remember the Partridge Family well. I also know the words to "I Think I Love You." I thought David Cassidy was so cute but Elvis was still the first for me.

OH yes, I remember that show and yep, David was a hottie. But now that I'm old I would love to see this show again to see if I'd feel the same about all those actors.

I don't have cable so the show would have to be offered on a streaming service @ElusiveButterfly I'll check if Amazon has it, it would be fun to watch that show from beginning to end
