I love butterflies. They are such beautiful, delicate creatures. We went to the Butterfly Conservatory while in Niagara Falls this past September and it was a breathtaking experience. If ever you go to Niagara Falls, I would highly recommend you visit this place. You will not be disappointed.

Butterflies have always fascinated me and am thrilled when I come across one. I like your avatar for that reason Elusive, it speaks volumes:) When I was back home we had a beautiful garden and during Spring we often spotted a butterfly or two. It's been such a long time since I saw one here. I will keep your suggestion in mind when I go to Niagara Falls.

I was going to respond to this with the link to the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls. I have been there several times because we live so close. It is truly an amazing experience, and anyone who visits the Falls should consider an afternoon there. It is a Butterfly Museum- there are trails to follow in a greenhouse setting emulating a rain-forest, and the butterflies are free in the foliage. Here is the link to the site: http://www.niagaraparks.com/nature/butterfly.php
I also have butterflies surrounded by flowers on my tattoo! They are amazing creatures.

I am reluctant to get a tattoo, but have been considering getting a small one on my right leg, just above my ankle bone.
I so loved my time at the conservatory. What a peaceful, realaxing time it was. I didn't want to leave.

I love butterflies. I have been to Niagra Falls, but never saw them.
I recently was sent some photo's from my sister on window pane butterflys. Talk about breath taking. They looked like those sun catchers, as their wings were transparent, with those lovely veins or lines that make the design on thier wings showing through. They are gorgeous. Have you seen them?

I've always thought butterflies were really cool. There are so many varieties and colors. They are fun to watch. And the fact that they grow from being a worm, go into hibernation and change into the butterfly, is just one of those amazing facts of God's universe! Niagara Falls is really far away from Texas, so don't imagine I'll be going there, but glad you had a great time. A butterfly conservatory...wow.

Yes they are one of God's specials gifts that bring brightness to a bad day. I have bought jewelry, tops, nightwear, throws etc. etc. all of butterflies.

When I lived in California we would go to Pismo Beach in Feb. for Valentines and well that was the month the Monarchs were migrating and was an awesome experience. There was this pack that they would always go to and people studied them there as well. Was so cool. To see something that is so lovely. Orange and black clounds in the trees. Flowers of the skies

How beautiful it is to be sitting in a lush green garden with trees, shrubs and flowers around, the smell of jasmine, the sound of bees. I'm on a lounge in the sun and have a jumper on...it's sunny but cool. My dogs are under my lounge, snoozing and every now and again a butterfly (or a pair of 'em) comes flittering through the garden alighting on the leaves here and there saying "hello" "how ya goin" "just passing" "you look lovely" "mmmm delicious scent" as it goes from flower to shrub, up and down, here and there, forward and back. Stopping off to close their wings and open....close, resting, stretching...and off again.
Sadly, it's been over 10 years since I've seen a butterfly. Not even so many moths these days. Maybe we are eradicating them with all the chemical sprays used on crops, and other vegetation.

Oh I agree, they are beautiful. I remember trying to catch them when my sister and I were kids, lol. We never seemed to be able to catch anything other than moths though, but hey we thought they were beautiful too, lol

I've always loved the word Butterfly. I admire it's metamorphosis from a worm to a beautiful colourful creature with wings. The Butterfly Effect is a good theory. However, when I see butterflies in real..I'm deathly afraid of them. I generally do not like insects with wings as they tend to land on you. Butterflies, cockroaches, cicadas, HUGE moths with wingspan as big as the small of my back! *shudder* I much prefer worms, lizards and snakes.

Yuck, I don't like snakes or lizards. Worms I can somewhat handle.

I agree that butterflies are really beautiful. Their colours are so beautiful that it is impossible for anyone to not like their beauty. I see people holding butterflies in their hands and touching them because they love the butterflies. That is cool but I prefer to admire their beauty without touching them and only by watching them.

I am the same way. Watching them flutter about is captivating. While at the conservatory I sat on a bench for nearly a half hour watching the butterflies fly here and there.

I, too, love butterflies. I love to watch them flutter around. It is very relaxing. I try to plant flowers to attract them, but my dog will chase them away. I have not been to any conservatory, but we do have one not to far away. I have considered going, I really should, don't you think?
I also have a tattoo on my shoulder of a butterfly about to land on a rose. The leaves also have my children's initials on them. They are hidden, but easy to see if I tell you they are there.

I, too, love butterflies. I love to watch them flutter around. It is relaxing. I try to plant flowers to attract them, but my dog will chase them away. I go to a creek in the summer and there are a lot of them there.
I have a tattoo of a butterfly almost landing on a rose on my shoulder. The leaves have my kids initials hidden in the veins. It is easy to see them, but only if you know to look.

Oh I love butterflies, they are just so beautiful. I haven't been to niagra falls but I hope to get there this spring...I will definately go to the butterfly conservatory. I have been to one in Mass. and one in Florida. I always plant butterfly friendly flowers in my garden. I even got a butterfly house for christmas. I bought my mom a butterfly canopy. You send away for the catapillars and they make their cacoons and hatch into butterflies, then you set them free. We've done it once before and it was so fun. We had painted ladies, two of them.

I love butterflies also. They are so pretty and beautiful. They look like little flying artworks. I really do get excited when I see them, when we were little, we used to chase them around, and trying to catch them as they went from flower to flower, and if we did, we would set them free. Good memories...

Yes, I totally agree with you. I love butterflies! I didn't know about that Butterfly Conservatory. Now I gotta go look it up because I doubt very seriously I'll be visiting Niagara Falls anytime soon. It's pretty far away from Alabama! LoL!
