the best camera you want to get your hands on is the one with FULL PASM features, in another word, the one that allowed you to play around with aperture and shutter speed. With your limited budget, the only one I can think of is Canon Powershot Series, it cheap but packed with features. Powershot SX120 is not bad for a starter but it is a bit above 200dollars. Try some old powershot models which have the feature and you are all set for a photography starter course. I was started with a powershot basic models too, and now have my own photo works exhibited in the art gallery. All the best!

As long as you have passion in something it won't bother even if your using a manual camera..but since it's 21st century you can also use the camera of your phone. And if you got enough money to buy a new one I suggest buy an ordinary digicam..perhaps Olympus or Casio would do! with 8 megapixel to 10 megapixel. I' enrolled in our photography class and I'm using a Digicam of casio with 10.1 megapixels, I don't need to buy dlsr because I can still capture good images with it. You just need to explore and discover things on how you can come up with even the cheapest camera you got.

Nature? If you mean mainly landscapes, then a photo with a high resolution and wide angle lens is worth considering. On the other hand, if nature means shy animals or birds on the wing, the high resolution is less useful to you than high burst mode and a long lens. If by nature you mean mostly highly detailed close-ups or insects or small animals and plants, ten good macro (close-uyp) performance is what you need. If nature takes you into the dim light of rainforests to see waterfalls, then good low-light performance is the key; but desert and beach and sea-side locations demand a top-notch screen (or it can't be viewed because of the glare) or an eye-level viewfinder plus very low ISO capability or very high shutter speeds, or the ability to fit external filters...or all three. Your budget won't run to a camera that can do all these things well (even second hand!) so look at plenty of pictures, see what appeals most, and then start researching the camera that will best meet your needs.

well i guess i would be a good person to ask about this since i have an online website that sells alot of electronics, which includes digital cameras you can find some pretty nice ones for the price that you have for a budget it just depends if you are looking for best quality or best value for your dollar. There are a lot of similar digital cameras that are around the same prices it just depends how many features you want on your digital camera as to how much it would be you can get a pretty good one now for less then what you are budgeting to spend, but i good place to look if you can't find one around where you are is ebay if you can buy things off of there or find someone that has a decent used digital camera, because those can work just as well as the new ones and you can usually save a little money if it is not brand new.

Hello, if you want to have quality digital camera, you should buy DSLR. I recommend you one of the industry leaders Canon or Nikon. I am freelance photographer and I'm using Canon cameras and lenses everyday. Your budget is very low for new camera so you should consider buying used one. You can find link under my picture on my profile page, there you can search for different offers for new and used cameras. Good luck! :)
