I am not a Japanese but I really wanna learn that language. I mean, it's really cool. Well, my other reason is because they have all these animes and it's really interesting to watch. The annoying part though is that you have to read the subtitles for you to understand what they are saying. So I really wanna learn how to speak Japanese so I'll be able to understand they're shows even more. It's not a dumb reason right?

I too would love to learn Japanese. I've been trying to learn the language since I was 11 but since school is more important, I only got to learn the basics of the language bit by bit for years. My reason is that I love Japanese music, especially the group V6 from Johnny's Entertainment. I would like to know the lyrics of their songs and also, understand the variety shows they are in. I also love anime and as much as I would love to watch the shows and understand them without subtitles (although I wouldn't mind subs), I would really love it if I could finish reading a whole Japanese manga and actually understand it.

We have a book that may help people learn more about Japanese. I have been reading it and learned a few more Japanese. It's really cool.

Well, nowadays you can find a lot of dubbed anime, so you don't really need to learn japanese for that, but I think any reason is good to learn a foreign language I'm not going to lie about this, Japanese can be very difficult to learn depending on what your native language is (for example, it's easy to learn for Koreans, as grammar is similar in both languages, and there are many similar words too), but if you ever give it a try, I hope you enjoy it and don't give up when it comes to learn the three systems of writting

I use to have that longing in learning that language due to the same reason that you have shared but, when I started studying, I didn't continue. It was hard to self-study, more importantly, I couldn't always apply what was trying to learn most of the time. In learning language, reading and writing them isn't enough, most of the time, we need to do more, as in applying them as often as possible so that practicing the language won't be that hard. Now, I am studying korean, I find it more easy but, the grammar and the vocabulary still needs to be improved on my part (-_-")

I have the same reasons as yours too. You could relate more with what you're watching, because your eyes focused only at the animation/action.

Learning Nihongo (or Japanese language) should be easy for Filipinos because it's like talking in Tagalog. Except for a very few syllables, Nihongo has practically the same sounds as the our language. I started studying Nihongo in 2008 when I got back from a month-long training in Japan. I started with Pimsleur Nihongo lessons so I can recognize spoken Japanese fast. This is not enough. You need to learn to read esp. because the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a written exam with a lot of reading involved. When I got back again from another month-long training in Japan last February, I bought several books on JLPT so I can really study Nihongo systematically this time. How are you doing with your Nihongo studies?
