As a citizen,we all want to live in a society where will can enjoy life,a job for everyone whose willing to work and also a society without corruption and a well established legal system.People have their own right to vote and share their opinion. But in reality, the city we are living in right now may not be that perfect. The harmony of our city will be affected if the poor will always be oppressed and the evil people will always win.As a matter of fact, who wants to stay in a city like that and even the tourist may not go to visit a city like that. And if the good guys will always be beaten up badly and the police are all worst than the robbers, who wants to live in a place like that ?Well, there are still many places like that in this world and I think you can share with us about your feeling towards your city if your city is one of the non-rightousness city.

Precisely, there were places similar to what you have written.
A place where you can name all the evil doings and you can find it there, openly as if the devil himself is protecting and ruling that place.
It's not the people/citizen of that place that makes the place a hell,it's the ruler/leader that made it so.
And,it is so sad that the innocent people were suffering from injustice.

Yes,we surely need a city of justice and the government should protect all the innocent people. But unfortunately, there are still evil going on in this world and I think it won't stop until Jesus return.I hope that all citzens can have proper reaction to all the unrighteousness issues and fight for what is right,But before people will fight for all these, they need to know waht is right according to God's standard. If not, everybody will think differently, then it will be hard to know waht is right.Because all people have different standard of what is right?I think it is very important to teach everyone when they were young. It is the best time for the new generation to learn the value and the basic standard that society should have .If they don't have such value when they were only a child.it is going to be more difficult to teach them when they grow up as an adult. On the other hand,we do need a police force that will truely enforce the law and obey the rules as well.If the police force is a team of people that will always be full of corruption ,it is hard to have justice in that society.Have a good day and God bless you.

I use to live in a city just as you describe in your discussion, I left this god forsaken city 5 years ago and the city is still in a mess. the city just elected a new mayor but he's from the same old political machine. The police in this city that I will not name are so bad that the former District Attorney recently said in and interview that the feds should come back and run the police department. Poverty in this city that I speak of is one of the highest in the country and the crime rate is so bad that you are afraid to walk the streets day or night. It's sad but evil still prevail in our society where the rich and greedy keep the needy at bay. ...

I believe that there is plenty of corruption no matter where we are in this world. However, I also think that there is good things in all of the world as well. Currently the greatest corruption that we are seeing in our city is the fact that our water company is trying to increase the amount of money that we are paying each month to almost half again what we are paying. The thing that makes me happy in this whole situation is that our city government is siding with the residents and they are against this increase.

Wow,Doran.I wonder what knid of water company is that. How can they increase the money that much.Lokks like only the rich people can drink water if the government don't step-in on time.Your post remind me of a topic I have posted few months ago, that was concerning water as well.I really don't know waht would happen if someday we will be all running out of water to drink.I hope the rain will keep on falling down and we don't have to worry about water at all. What can we do?I think the only thing we can do is pray.like Elijah in the Bible,he prayed ,then the rain stopped to fall for 3 and 1/2 years .And later he pray again, then the rain started to fall again. It is grace to have water to drink ,but the water company you have just mentioned was truely unbelieveable.I hope they will never has such an unreasonable proposal anymore.have a good day.

I see a lot of cities that are evil. In my city, the police are okay. The worse thing here is that one of the only jobs in town is the amusement park. They pay less than other amusement parks and the jobs make less than the national average. Most of the jobs are minimum wage. So since there are no other jobs around, we go to the amusement park. When the season is over, we used to get unemployment. But this year the amusment park fought our getting unemployment benefits and any of us who got benefits have to give it back. The only problem is, we don't have jobs so we can't give it back. So yes, the poor are oppressed here.
