Have you heard about the new fiasco at facebook.Facebook is gonna start charging users 4.99 a month. I honestly think that it is ridiculus they would do such a thing. I think they figure they will make alot of money but i think that people especially teenagers will stop using their website.I believe that more people will just go back to using myspace instead of facebook. Does anyone else think that it is stupid for them to charge for facebook???

Don't use Facebook anyways but that's stupid if they do start charging. I doubt it though b/c they would loose a lot of people doing that. Plus you can get free websites and create your own blog site.
Still building mine if you all want to log in and help me fix it up...thanks!

So far, I received a lot of emails from facebook but I haven't read any notice about charging their members a certain amount. It's true that facebook is one of the most traffic swarmed site but most of its users belong to non-earning group.

I doubt they'll charge the cost to the user, and if that happens it's likely that people will not use that site again. Facebook is very well known and they can get profit from every person who visit their site. Peoples might choose a site that pays instead of paying to the site.

This is ridiculuos, I am pretty sure how people using their website for free react negatively to this news. If it's really true, I myself will be the first one to delete my account. I'd rather go back using friendster and myspace as what I used to.

I really doubt that they are goint to start charging users to use their sites. Like everyone already said I just think it's a rumour that someone is spreading. Facebook already makes a ton of money and doesn't need any more money from users. If for whatever reason this in the future does happen then I think that a lot of people would drop Facebook and go somewhere else where it's free.

I use Facebook and have heard no such story. I assume they would have notified all users if that were the case. cant see how it would be true anyway because Facebook is trying add users in competition with other sites like Twitter and MySpace.

oh well, they can keep their site if they want. the only reason why it become well known its because of those games so without those games im sure it will not become so well known as facebook started a long time ago but it was friendster become so well known that time. they must thank those games in their site. so if they will start charging then ill go back to friendster. i can play games anywhere even if not in facebook.

Teenegars will stop using it? Please, the adults will stop first more likely...
In my country we have a similar website, although its mostly for locals only but still very, very popular. Everyone is like mad with buying statistics (to see who viewed your profile) and all the other paid services.

That does sound ridiculous. I hope it's not true. Back when I was using Xanga, it tried to charge me 25 dollars a year for using that website and I immediately closed my account. I'm not a heavy facebook user but I hope they free.
