Who is my favorite writer/author? Hmmm.. This is easy, I love Paulo Coelho. I love his books even though I havent read all of them yet. My favorite books he wrote is "The Alchemist" and "11 Minutes". He is that kind of author who caters the wants and needs of people when it comes to life situations. Just like in the story of The Alchemist, it was about a boy who did everything just to pursue his dream. He also found love while on his way to his and in the later part, he learned things in his experiences that helped him as a person. The story about 11 minutes is true to life experience. It talks about a guest relation officer and her quest in finding true love. The lessons that he learned and the painter who loved him dearly who became his partner in life. All the stories were good. I recommend Paulo's books.

My sister loves to read books just like me. My boss before also encouraged us to submit book reports every month and I asked my sister and my boss about famous and good authors and they recommended Paulo Coelho. I love him! There are actually a lot of my co-teachers who likes his works so we often exchange books. I have read two more of his books which I also like that's why I remember them and that's By the River Piedra and Veronica decides to Die.

Hello CrisRodrigues :)
I love reading too but I haven't got enough time to venture into reading one full book. Maybe this summer if I still don't find a job. ;) Anyway, to your question; I have lots of favorite authors locally and internationally. When it comes to international however, I love books of Mitch Albom and Nicholas Sparks.
Nicholas Sparks by the way is the author who first made me cry when I read his novel "Message in the Bottle". I'm not sure if you already read that, but it's a very good and touching book. Aside from the story, I love how Sparks wrote it with style. I think that's what makes a good author, he's good in creating a story and at the same time good in the way he presents it.
My next favorite author is Mitch Albom with his book "Tuesdays with Morrie". It's also a good story and a true story about the author himself and his teacher Morrie Schwartz. :) It's one of the touching books I read because it inspires me to be a good teacher not only by profession but by heart.
