Have you ever wanted to rush the Rapture?

Jesus' coming - The rapture

I used to fear this word before. Every time I heard about the end of the world, what came to my mind was a scenario of wars and catastrophes happening simultaneously. And then I told myself that I wanted to be dead already when that time comes. But now, I want it to happen as soon as possible, because of all the evil, sorrow and grief that I see in this world. I just cannot wait for Him to come again, but I know very well that I'd have to prepare for that first. To Christians, ever felt like this?

I've known Christians who did want to die or have the Rapture come sooner to relieve their own suffering or to escape the sorrows of others. How would you live your life differently if you knew for a fact that the Rapture would not happen your lifetime?

Hello. Of course no one knows for sure when it is gonna happen. I don't know. Given that, while I am still here, I am gonna do my best to live life according to His will, love Him, my family, and all. I will still prepare myself whether it happens in my lifetime or not. Thanks for the response. Are you a Christian?

I was raised in a conservative nondenominational church, though I am an agnostic.

When I was a child I was used to feel worry but now I know the plan of salvation I feel better. As you said so much things are happening in the world but it is written: Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. The only thing a person has to do is to pray and confess the sins he/she has made and ask for the Holy Spirit to come, the read of the biblie is something that will keep you informed of the will of God.

I really need to read the Bible. Thanks Chris for that. May God bless you, and may you continue to spread His word.

Unfortunately, no one can rush the rapture as it must happen in its own time. It would be great if it happened tonight or tomorrow even, but who is to say it will or won't? People know deep down they have the ability to change themselves and by changing themselves they can change the world. But, sadly, most of us do not want to change. We continue to hurt each other with lies, ripoffs, slander, mentally and physically abusing, and then some. Some say this is all just human nature, but to me that is nothing more than an excuse to tell people, hey it's okay to use your free will and steal that car for a joyride. Hm, yeah, and it's okay to be arrested and sit in jail for a long time away from your family and friends. We are nothing more than stubborn, greedy human beings who want everything to go our way, which unfortunately has made us into a terrible image. If we want the world to change, we must start it with us. Give to the poor, help the sick, be a shoulder to a crying person, give a hug to someone who feels cast off, stop treating others badly based on physical looks, and stop deluding ourselves that we can't do anything to change it. Change starts with us. And yes, by the way, I would be thrilled if the rapture happened. But only because I want to see Jesus again.
