Do you like to eat strawberries by themselves or always take it with ice-creams, cream, other fruits or with something else? I prefer taking them with vanilla ice-creams though at times I eat them without adding anything.
I started eating a lot of strawberries when I along with my family went to a farm in Zurich ( Switzerland) and they allowed us to pick them - in fact as they do not want to spoil the strawberry crop they allow outsiders to pick up and eat there as much as one wants; of course what you carry with you home they weigh before you leave the farm and you pay for what you have picked- but the prices are ridiculously low as compared to the market and then you get fresh and you can pick & take what you want? isn't that a great way the Swiss farmers have to save their crops and keep the people happy too!!??
By the way i have uploaded some fotos of strawberries picked and being picked!!

How nice it is to pick and buy strawberries from the farm! There is no such farm in our tropical country and the strawberries that we buy are all imported, the nearest is from South Korea, where a small case of 500g cost about $8 USD. That is expensive I believe. There are many varieties and the species we have it here is an elongated big strawberry. Anyway I love to eat strawberries on their own, or eat them with plain yogurt or with vanilla ice cream too.

I too live in a tropical country but in the hilly regions where it is cold too the strawberries are grown but the farmers there heavily guard their fruits!!!
So whenever I go to other countries I have indulged in picking fruit- cherries, apples, pomegranates- here the farmers do not let you pick up anything at all!!!!!!

you are lucky to be in a farm where no pesticides and other chemicals are sprayed on the strawberries. in some farms, strawberries are sprayed with all sorts of chemicals to prevent insects and other bacteria from destroying the plant and to make it bear fruit. and the sellers in the market does the same and spray them with chemicals to make them look fresh for a longer period of time. This is the reason why some strawberries, grapes, brocoli, etc. have dry white blots or chemical marks on the surface of their skins and could not be washed out by water (due to the STICKER effect of the chemicals. So if you are not sure that the fruit or vegetable came from an organic certified farm, do not eat raw. water with salt is not enough as a cleanser.

i don't really like to ear strawberry on its own... i like to make it into a milk shake and drink it... same with my hubby... he loves strawberry milkshake a lot... so that's how i always make my strawberry now... and talking about strawberry farm, we do have one here as well in melbourne and you are right... the price is much more cheaper than the market and they are fresher too... take care and have a nice day...

I don't eat them much and the last time I did they were chocolate-covered. For some reason i can't stand to eat them often, but I'll eat them every once aand a while. rarely plain, but most of the time chocolate-covered.

I love to eat fresh strawberries, I love it also on ice cream, shakes and jam. I really love to go to a strawberry farm but it's so far from our place. I just buy fresh strawberries in fruit stands and supermarkets and make my own strawberry shake at home, my children love them so much.

hi! yes, i like eating strawberries by themselves and I have never eat some with ice-cream. well, i have tried strawberries with cream, also with other fruits in the so-called fruit salad, but I mostly eat them just so, by themselves and maybe with some sugar on the top, because they become even sweeter with the sugar and if you haven't tried it till now you should. well, i know it is not that healthy and dietetic, but it is at least very delicious

I like strawberries in general. In cereal, by themselves, in yogurt, in ice cream, dipped in chocolate, with sugar, etc, etc. The fresher the better but I like them when they just passing ripe and almost bad but not quite. Just really juicy and deep in color.

This they do even in the USA. Strawberries taste best with whipped cold cream to which a bit of sugar is added. I have strawberries a bit on the sour side no matter how ripe they would be. I was in Italy on a holiday and I bought a few there and was disappointed.
