What is the main difference between Miss universe and Miss World?

I always wanted to know who is more beautiful Miss world or Miss universe. Whats the difference between them? How they are cosen.

I guess World means Earth and Universe means Galaxy. I don't know, may be the guys who name these competitions are a bit stupid.

Basically, they just host by different company or fundation.
