What Would It Take For You To Be In A Deity?

For atheist and agnostics what would in take for you to believe in a deity? Nothing is of limits. Even if a deity gave you the proof you required would you accept such deity as your supreme authority? I will answer my own question by saying I would need a road to Damascus experience, but even after that this deity would need to answer some questions of mine before I excepted this deity as my supreme authority.

Like you, I would have to have an experience that was clear, personal and profound. I've felt awe at natural phenomena including having the eye of a forming funnel cloud pass directly overhead, though I had no sense of personality behind it. I've been so tired and stressed that I've hallucinated and known at the time that what I experienced was not real. Frankly, the scenario in the movie "Dogma" pretty much would convince me, but I'd probably shoot the angel with the fire extinguisher too, if I had one.

I live around tornado alley and I have yet to see anyone down to their knees and thank the tornado god for sparing their house. Just an observation. That is why I always have fire extinguisher handy at all times.

Well I could agree with that.
