I remember the days before cellphones! And I know people who still do not have one. Whatever did we do? There are always alternatives. OK, so you may actually have to use a payphone and *gasp* walk to one! A little inconvenient, maybe, but it isn't the end of the world.

yep, you are right. it is really not the end of the world and I also remember the time when we haven't got any mobile phones. I had a phone card in my pocket always!

wow Christy, it was a really tough night for you! i guess you will always remember it! but yes, we need the phone mostly when there is something bad, but it is not by us :)

About 10 years ago I was coming back from visiting my boyfriend, now my husband. He lived about an hour north of me. I left his house and got on I-95 south. Well about 10 minutes on the road I got a flat tire. This was 11 pm. The next exit was 4 miles. It was pretty cold out. I was wearing clunky platform shoes and started walking. I tried to stay away from the road and closer to the woods. I was young and afraid of being abducted by a psycho. I had several people pull over and try to give me a ride to the next exit. I refused and walked the whole way. Although, I was very tempted to get a ride. I was exhausted by the time I got to the next exit. I really needed a cell phone that night!

I didn't have a cell phone before, and a few times I had to call a friend to tell her I'd be late. I couldn't do it. Also if I were to meet someone somewhere, I had to go right to meet them. I always wished I could call them when I was leaving if I had somewhere else to go and didn't know how long I'd be. I usually couldn't do that. Now I have a cell phone and I can. There are very few pay phones anymore and it seems everyone has a cell phone and would be lost without them!

Never heard of a charger, did you?? Just Kidding. Yes, i was stuck at the mall and at the end of the day i had to ask the lady at the clothing store to phone my friend to come and pick me up. I was so angry at myself. Since then, i make sure my phone is fully charged before i leave home. I even took an extra charger to work, just for in case. TATA.

Yes i fall such a situation one time in my life. When i was my home. Then me and my younger brother we went water land for fun. It was too far from my home. My father asked us to come soon from there and before 6 o clock. When i was there he called me many time for know we are safe or not. Then we do so late there and my mobile charge had finish. My father was so tense for me as he couldn't contact with me. Then we ask one strangers for phone and we explain him the matter. And he agree then we made a call to my father. After that we said thanks to that man.

I remember during my second-to-last year of high school. I had some things I had to do after school. So I needed to call my dad to pick me up. He'd given me his cell phone to use, but they never got his payment so the compnany deactavated my phone, or rather his phone. So I ended up no matter how hard I tried only able to reach bell south's main lines only to sit on hold..... ugh..... Finally I got someone to call my dad for me. Which was quite nice of them, but it was frusterating having to wait on him to pick me up.

Yea, many times! I hate carrying my cellphone - well at least it is my laziness! I used to go for classes at night which ended at about 9 pm and once I did not get a bus home! So, I had to call from a local call office! Luckily, I had money!

well, when you hate carry it, why did you bought it :) sometimes I also forge mine at home, but that happens really very rarely, because the phone is the first thing that i put in my pocket after i dress up :) yeah, luckily that you have money, and also that there are some phone-booths, because in my country all the phone-booths are already history :) they are all out of order

Hi phoenix Yes it happened to me once, accidentally I left my mobile phone in the office and in my way back home I have a flat tire, its kinda annoying when I needed so badly got nothing to used and it happened in the high way that there's no such telephone booth to use.And so what I did is to asked help from a passing car to be able to reach some rescue, a towed car and my housekeeper who would bring my another phone to me . Its a complicated matters when mobile phone is not at hand..I can't afford to move without my mobile phone. Happy myLotting!
