I still write letters for friends and loved ones. I feel like this is too personal and sweet especially when I give on ordinary days when there ware no occasions or anything. It just makes me feel very loving and caring to the people i send them. How about you?

I am a fan of letter writing too. I think letters are better than e-mails or text messages because we can keep them and it shows effort. Plus the excitement of receiving a reply is really a nice experience. Well I write to my pen pals and to some of my overseas relative. And I know that they feel happy when they receive my letters, so that makes me really happy too.

I think the writing of handwritten letters are a thing of the past for me. I think it's far easier to type a letter on the computer now and I don't think I will ever be returning to the old ways! I guess when you write a letter by hand it adds that personal touch and clearly shows effort on the part of the writer. I think a lot of people tend to go for what is convenient now though and for me it will always be the use of my computer to compose letters! Andrew

I haven't hand written letters in years. The last time I did was years ago when I was a kid. I tried writing my cousin. But he would never write me back so after the second time I gave up. Just never wrote any since then.

hi,
with advancement in technology nowadays, it is not a reason for some to write using their hands..i personally hand write to friends especially on special occasions on a birthday cards. but there is this special person in my life that i often times send poems as a way of expressing my emotions.

Hi Intelpink, I think most of us do not use pens to handwrite letters or pens anymore. Except for some special occasions, such as those happy birthday cards, get-well cards and other special occasions.
Other than that, using email and MS word to type the letters are easier. It saves on the constant cancelling and erasing too. Plus, my handwriting is not that good, I think I have a hard time understanding my own handwriting.

I write letters too. The person I will be writing to is someone who may not use cellphones and can only use the internet for 45 minutes every Monday. I think its also nice to be receiving letters from people especially if you are restricted to have communication with them. I also experienced the same thing and I like the feelings that I received a letter from somebody. One day, I received 17 letters in one day and it really feels good. I was a missionary at that time that's why I was limited to use the internet and this person whom I will be writing a letter too is also a missionary now so I can always write him letters so he will also feel how I felt when I received letters.

I rarily write a hand-written letter -- I barely get hand-written cards out. It's just too easy to type a letter or e-mail. I'm not sure how people feel about my type-written letters; maybe, they would prefer a hand-written letter? But, I seriously doubt they'll get anything but a typed letter from me.

I seldom write letters. Rather write e-mails which cost basically nothing at all. Yes, I think that a letter is much more sincere, but I don't really have anybody to write to. :)
