I went to Africa when I was nineteen years old. I went to Tunisia and met some friendly people. They follow the Islamic religion there. My second trip to Africa was to Kenya in my mid twenties. When I was on safari I met the Masai Mara people and that was fascinating. I like to find out about the culture and the history. My third trip to Africa was to the Seychelles. Last year I traveled to South Africa and loved it in Cape Town. I am delighted that it is equal for all people now because it used to be unfair. Have you been to Africa? Have you met any African people?

I haven't been fortunate enough to get an opportunity to go to Africa. But yes, I know many Africans. I studied at Fergusson College in Pune, India. There I met with a lot of people from many different African countries like Ethiopia, Eritria, Kenya etc. Some of them had become good friends of mine then. But when their studies were over, they left for their countries. Now, I don't know what is going on with them. I hope they're fine... You really are fortunate madam, to have got so many opportunities to see Africa. I hope, I'll get a chance someday... Have fun!

It is excellent that you have got to meet some African people. Kenyan people are very friendly I think. It must have been fascinating for you to meet the person from Ethiopia in particular. I would like to go to the Cape Verde Islands sometime in the future. I hope that you will get to travel to some of the countries in Africa and meet the lovely people.

Oh yes, I wish I'll get an opportunity to go to Africa once... Oh yes, Kenyan guys and Ethiopians were in great numbers in my class. And they are very friendly people. I remember celebrating Xmas and New Year at their places. All of us would gather at someone's apartment and all of us would celebrate the day... It was fun!

Hi Max, I haven't been to Africa and haven't met any African yet. Africa is one of the places that I really, really want to visit. It seems an interesting country and has very diverse culture, a lot different from mine. I'm always fascinated by the wilds and when you speak of such, Africa is the first country that comes to mind. You are indeed fortunate to be able to travel to these places, I wish someday I'll be able to set foot on this country.

You are very lucky to have done so much travelling in your lifetime. I am quite well travelled but I've never been to Africa. However I did socialise with many Africans in London when I was at college. Many were from Zimbabwe at the time when Robert Mugabe was elected president, and there was great jubilation. I often wonder how they are all faring now in that country's troubled times.
