Hi friends! We all those who use Paypal for withdrawal
and are from India were worried for past few weeks due to
withdrawal problems. We were unable to withdraw our money
from Paypal or get it transferred to our respective bank accounts.
Now, the problem of withdrawing our money has resolved. Would like
to share that I withdrew some amount on 11th March and I was informed by Paypal that the money would reach my account by 18th March, 2010. The amount did
get credited in my Bank Account on 18th. Hope other friends could
now easily withdraw their money from Paypal. Or if some of the users are
still facing problems, they may like to share their problems?
Have a great day!

Well, it is great news that paypal has returned to normalcy with issues concerning India. It would have been a problem if it was not solved as they are many Indian members in mylot and on other earning sites. I am happy for all Indians and hope they will continue to contribute actively in mylot. A headache is gone!

Hi zandi!
Yes, a headache is over. When users were unable to withdraw
money from Paypal, their participation in discussions might
have reduced, thinking that they may not be able to
retrieve their earnings later. It is good that now users
can whole-heartedly participate in mylot and can be sure about
their earnings.
How are you doing?

It's indeed a great news for all Indians. I am really glad that things are sorted out. I just wish they resolve the personal payment issues as well. Many transactions are on transit. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Hi Mimpi!
Now they (paypal) are asking about our PAN number details, then
only we will be able to get our amount transferred to our
Bank Accounts.

It is a great news dpk. On reading your discussion I was mentally relieved of my anxiety. Though I do not have much amount in paypal, still it is good to know that even in future, withdrawing money fom paypal has no problem and we need not be anxious in this respect. Thanks for updating news on this issue. I bless you get many more payments from paypal in future.

I am still waiting for the receipt of those two amounts that they say they have transferred to my account for the sake of verification which is still pending. Verification is compulsory.

in future too. You may also write to Paypal about your problems

mk - I had earlier given them a wrong ifs code and probably because of that may be the amount could not get transferred but somewhere this should have come to their notice. They did not inform me. I have now sent them the correct ifs code and hopefully on Monday I should get these amounts. But what I want to say is that why was there no mention about the wrong ifs code. They have my address and also my account number which contains details that can help them find out the name of the bank branch. Anyway I will wait till Monday. Yes that will be about 6 days.

Yes, it is quite a relief to have the withdrawal to bank feature of paypal back. It had become quite a concern for thousands of Indians who were dependant on paypal. The issue was primarly due to some RBI regulations. They have introduced another step now to identify the source of funds.
At the same time they have yet to re introduce the personal payment feature for Indians which they had withdrawn. Also they have removed the credit card option for withdrawal.
All said and done, it's good news that the bank withdrawal is back again Deepak.

Hello Alok!
I was not aware that the personal payments are yet to be restored for us. However, the good news is that now atleast we can get our payments transferred to our bank accounts, which was suspended previously. Thanks for sharing and joining us.

I am not from India and that may explain why I haven’t had any issues with PayPal. I tend to leave my money in there and withdraw only every now and again. I am glad that they’ve resolved the issues; it must have been very frustrating for the people affected! When money is earned, a big part of it is to be able to withdraw it! I would have been most annoyed not being able to get to my cash!

Hello Paula!
It was indeed very frustrating experience not been able
to withdraw the money from Paypal account. I think we
all work hard to earn it and the thought that it is locked
and we cannot withdraw it was scary. Thanks God now things
are back to normal.

Hello Deepak :)
It is worrisome, indeed, when Paypal is not working properly. I've not had any trouble as yet and am glad for those of you in India that things seem to be working right again.

hi, dpk Good news. But can you tell me under which category we have to withdraw. I mean should we ask for withdrawal under 'services' and do we have to mention any purpose? I couldn't resolve this doubt. Thanks.

It is too bad to hear that this problem seemed to be country specific. I have been using Paypal for about two years now with no problems. I am glad to hear that things are back to normal though.

Hi babyface, so you are back because of Paypal. But it was expected! In fact, all other payment processors would have to go through the same procedure if money can be sent to India. Amazon had it ages ago! :) PAN number and purpose. Income tax and tracing terrorists. :) Good to know you are not an IT evader, or a terrorist. :)
