While working in a restaurant before, my seat was loacted beside the Bar. Our bartender was a mean person and whenever he gets in argument with a customer or even with our Boss, he will get back to them in their Drinks! One time he was upset with his salary and complained to our Boss. He was told to look for another job when he is not satisfied working in his restaurant. Minutes later the Boss ordered a glass oflemonade. I SAW it with my own eyes that after making the drink, he held it low below the counter and SPIT in it!! If you have seen him doing that, what would you do? stop him and he'll be angry with you too? or tell your Boss not to drink his Drink?

I would be shock and will be surprise for he still have the nerve to that one. No matter how angry we are, we just have to think that this guy is giving us a job and we are earning. If you can't leave with his policy and salary rate then leave. I'll tell him and give him sermon and let him realize that what he is doing is not the right thing to make revenge.

Thank you for sharing this experience. I would really think over twice next time to argue with the bartender. I dont want to experience such thing, I would really keep observing on that.

I would certainly tell the boss about that. I might tell everybody else, including the bartender. He should be fired then and there.

i called the Capt'n Waiter and he dealt with the bartender. But of course, he took the lemonade from our Boss before he took a sip! He just said - oh sorry sir, we forgot to put sugar in your drink! Good excuse.

hello tigerlily... aww! that's so disgusting! i hate such kind of people...arrgh! anyway, as i mention in my other post, i am aware on these kind of yucky things that's been happening on F&B sectors that's why i don't really mess with people who serves my food...hehe one of my friend even told me that they once step on the pizza they are going to serve in one of their arrogant customer in the cafe they're working with...haha they step on it then just put it on the oven and make it looks nice again! if i were the one who saw that incident, i think i will be telling it to the concerned authority to give what's due for this mean bartender...by any means, what he have done is not acceptable! anyway, what happen to him? was he fired after that?

I would stay out of it, but always make my own drinks just to be safe.

Hi friend, if I was the one who saw what that mean bartender's doing, I will secretly get my cellphone with a camera and take shots. Well its one kind of evidence against him and showed it to my boss, so if ever he'll look for another job your boss can avenge by telling the would be employer of that bartender.

good idea ..but it took only a second or two to spit in the glass, and cellphones were turned off during workingtime.

Bot, I'd tell him not to do that again and I'd tell the boss not to drink the drink. The boss was being honest with him. Telling him that he would not get a raise there and to find other work if he did not like his salary. Simple enough. If the boss thought he was not due a raise or deserved one or maybe he did not have it to give. Whatever the reason, he has no right to mess with any ones drinks when he makes them just because he is in a position to do so. He needs to find other ways to place his anger. Not working where he is responsible for other peoples drinks and food is a good start.

I would probably tell my boss that he was taking out his frustration in the food and drinks, pointing out that I saw him spit in the aformentioned drink. And, suggest to my boss he get his drinks himself. that's just discusting and yeah. Glad, I don't... go to places like that.

I've never ever seen anyone do something like that. I would have told the boss what I saw and let the boss take care of it. So the guy is mad at you too for telling on him, big deal... I wouldn't want the guy as a friend or acquaintenance anyway.

that's true. I've worked in places like this before and some people really do that.
