I liked the first part wherein the candidates had the chance to ask a question to another candidate. Legarda and Mar question-answer portion was really interesting. So as Bayani and Binay portion. However, the program became boring towards the end where they were asked generic/character related questions. What do you think about the candidates?

The best part was the on how the panels had rated every candidates. It showed how disgusted they were with every answers of Legarda. They don't believe on her. She talked as if she is a liar. Her body language is so obvious that what she was telling is not from her heart. She is very plastic.

Yeah I guess that was the general impression on her. I even see Yasay and Sonsa rating positively but I was a bit sad that the only lady amongst the guys was not doing well in impressing the audience. Oh well, I think she should have ran for the senate because I feel that the projects she was trying to deliver in the debate could be done as a lawmaker than as an executive one.

I actually agree with you. Her focus is important but it doesn't cover the interests of many. It's something that can lessen calamities and its effects but I'm looking for something more...

yeah, seems like nobody's believing her anymore. I used to like her during erap's time but everything has changed. although she has good intentions and her platform about the environment really makes sense, it doesn't make an impact to the people.

i watched it too last night and i think the debate between Leron and Mar only showed how how good Mar is in answering questions or should i say dodging some. What i liked is the debate between Bayani and Jojo, you can actually see that bayani is a man of few words but whe he says something, it goes straight to the point. It's the question of Jojo which i think backfired on him when Bayani said about something that should have been done a long time ago by the opposition.

frankly i was nervous about bayani but he turned the approve ratings satisfactory and not entirely a screw up.but his debate with binay was epic because it shows that binay isn't a great mayor as i thought he would be. imean, with out ayal ang other core business men MAKATI won't be as attractive as any investor would thought of.binay is bragging but it was the AYALA's who made makati look good and still they are squattters everywhere.

hahaha! Yes, that's why they're really funny. Binay asked if Bayani will help in the investigation of Arroyo's administration. Bayani just answered that he is an Engineer and not a lawyer like Binay. And that Binay should have done that long time ago... very well said.

i think most of them are just trying to show what the people would want to see in them. all of them, not one is exempted from the fact that they have their own little corrupted and cunning minds and is already thinking of what to do when they actually win.
most of them, i can stand to hear about their speeches, etc without losing my head.. but with Loren... all I can sense is her negativity, somehow, I read her personality to be the kind of person we should not trust.

Well, yeah. You're not the only one who feels that way. Weird isn't it? She was trusted during Erap's time but everything has changed.

True. I got sleepy when that portion arrived too. I think the question was rather not interesting anymore. I pity Legarda which was showing a negative impression from those that were able to post immediately. I think Legarda's political stance is really getting down already and I cannot feel her strength anymore. But I was impressed with the way Mar has answered all the allegations thrown at him by Legarda at the discussion. The battle between Binay and Bayani was also interesting since they were both politically at odds with each other when Binay was Mayor of Makati and Bayani being MMDA chairman. It seems that they are still trying to outdo each other as MMDA chair and Makati Mayor. With the last two candidates they seem to have registered not that much strong impression on me. I am just disappointed that Edu did not present himself from that debate. I think this could open up a lot of opportunity for him to uplift his standing on the debate.

Yes, I agree with you. But there was this last question about agrarian reform that Mar did not really expounded on. But either way, I'd still be voting for me. hehe. The first part where Bayani was saying the Binay had his signature on MMDA's flyers was really funny. Binay was denying it but Bayani had facts.

With regards to the CARP issue it was Legarda's fault that she was not able to question it the right way so that Mar would be forced to answer the issue wisely. But Legarda failed to point that there was this conversion of Agrarian land from being residential area it was too late the she brought this up since her time was already consumed. For Mar he just answered his best to evade that issue which is because Legarda was not asking direct to the point she ran out of time.
As for the two B's well it seems they are just bringing out old issues from one another. They lost focus on the debate which is the Vice presidential issues and became more heated on how they were as MMDA chair and Makati Mayor.

Hello pierrella,
Yes, me and my online comrades of the transformers legion had watch it. but at first i was really nervous for bayani fernando because we all feared ted might do some diverting issues because he got screwed or owned by richard gordon during the last debate in lasalle just this last january.
So far his answer were bit satisfying but not as extravagant or detailed as the others, probably because he was too sleepy from the way he talks or simply the way he pose in the forum.
He didn't talk that much his rebuttals were simply but with sense. and binay caught off guard with it because of the engineer.i think he was too overconfident. the msot insulting about binay as asking his supporters whether they agree with bayani or not but the fact remains that binay should have answered it, it was a bad night for him that made him loose his temper.
and thanks for loren, it seems that Mar mr. talipapa has high approvals coming from people accross the country.

Binay really turned me off that night. I was okay with him before but when he started boasting the things he have done for Makati, it's getting too much. All he says is that Makati is the best place to live in and he's not answering the questions in a sensible manner. Makati is really rich. But that is because of the investments coming in and it's a business center. But then, there are still some informal settlers around the area.
Bayani stood out because of Binay. I liked how he answered the questions. He is honest and it shows :)

I also got the chance to watch Harapan last night but I didn't catch the Legarda and Mar question-answer portion and so with the Bayani-Binay portion. However, I was able to watch the later part wherein a farmer and a teacher of a remote area was presented to ask questions to the candidates. Based on their answers followed by the simultaneous voting we can now see who is in the top 3 ranking for the coveted position. It seem clear also that Legarda has some kind of indifference towards Mar as she quoted in her answer towards the teacher's question.
Well, we'll just see and hope that the right person will be raise into that position.

I am for gordon-bayani but i must admit that jay had made a good combination between gordon's and binays proposal but he didn't add hiswhen he said something about the mindanao contributions to the economy and 11% only ROI. as for yaysa that's a good proposal but he should have lay down proper initiatives to that. like what advocacies or what government agencies would be involved. but still nice answer for yasay.

Yes, the teacher is a good example and she is sacrificing her life to go to such a remote place for her passion to teach those children. Upon seeing the footage last night, I was really touched when I saw how those children looked. I can't imagine how difficult life could be if I were in there situation.
With regard to Yasay, I think he has some point but still it would be very difficult to implement any entrepreneurial ideas on such remotest area. With Binay, he was really bragging about Makati which brought a negative result from the simultaneous voting.

I was really touched by the teacher. Her salary is just P3000 a month but she's doing it because of her love for the kids. Yasay answered about being entrepreneur but I think the teacher is talking about basic education.. as in reading and writing. Binay bragged about Makati again. lol

I think all of them have the capability. Sometimes, it's not just how they answer. We should also base our votes on their platforms and stand on important issues :) I liked how Legarda and Mar answered each other. Jay was also good actually. lol

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch up the debate. Well, even without listening or watching those candidates talked on air, I know where to give my vote. I don't usually rely on who is the best speaker or debater, I always look on one's capacity to become a good leader.

This was actually Edu's opportunity if only he grabbed it. They say that they don't have enough funds but I don't know what's happening. I don't like to think that he's backing out of the race.
